Not sure if this has already been posted here, so apologies if it has, but just in case you haven't seen it:

By the way, some interesting bits of information I've got from reading it so far (still reading through it at the moment):

  • After Mark and David worked on the script together, David went off and continued writing the script on his own while Mark went off and wrote his book. David sent the additional material back to Mark for approval before filming, but Mark didn't change anything.
  • David hasn't read The Secret History (I already knew this, but thought it was worth repeating).
  • David and Sabrina have no idea what The Final Dossier will contain.
  • Sabrina says we are not supposed to watch episodes in sync.

Please do a bit of reading around before posting; this has been covered multiple times already and we've already had pretty in-depth discussion about why Sabrina probably wouldn't know about sync.

I think using the words "probably doesn't know" about a person who worked on every part of making Season 3 and is the only person except Lynch and Frost to receive a Executive Producer credit is a little silly. The only thing probable about syncing is that it's dead as a door nail with regards to having being meant or yielding clues. In fact, given her answers to questions about it I'd say it's a virtual certainty until Lynch says otherwise.

This time I full agree with you. You are very active in this place so I will answer you here about another thread - jumping man. Don't be offended. I do not see any sense of my participation in theory, which I completely disagree with. I wrote there everything I could. But it's nothing personal, I will write in your threads if they will be interesting for me 🙂

We get it; you don't believe the sync thing is legit. But you seem not to understand what an executive producer's role is. Let's agree to both have our own ideas on this, it's not hurting anybody, and maybe one day Lynch, Frost or Dunham will confirm or deny.

I don't see where belief enters into the equation. An executive producer for the show, one who worked on every part of it, daily with lynch, shot syncing down. So until Lynch or Frost say she was wrong we can take it she's right. It isn't about hurting anybody. There are few demonstrably certain things about Twin peaks, at least big things,  so when someone actually involved at the level she was tells you something you can take it as written until Lynch or Frost say otherwise. We don't need to wait for them to deny what she said.

You are avoiding the point, which is that executive producers don't have anything to do with the creative process, they look after the business side of things. I feel like I'm stuck in an infinite loop as well just trying to get you to accept that. I really don't understand why you have to go so hard over this. Are we really pissing you off this much with our theories?

While I'd like to believe that the syncing was intentional and Ms. Sutherland was unaware of it (because quite frankly, syncing is what makes 18 watchable for me), she was pretty emphatic about it and didn't seem as if there was any uncertainty on her part. I do agree with the point that an executive producer wouldn't likely know anything about it, but then I'd have expected a, "Who the heck knows?!? This is David Lynch you're asking about here," if she wasn't sure. So while nothing is certain, I'm about 99% confident that the sync being so much better than the episodes alone is just a happy coincidence.

The sloppiness of the sound designer to not add the electricity sound effect to the ep 18 Lynch/Frost Productions logo was part of the happy coincidence.  Thank goodness that guy is a hack! 🙂

Yes.  Absolutely shocking and the Sound Designer should have been fired for that!

Only one problem.....

The Showtime logo also does not have its usual music accompaniment after 18.

Silence was clearly intended/requested for the final images related to Ep18.

A good question for the next interview with Showtime or Lynch associates.

The term "Executive Producer" can be pretty nebulous depending on the production and creative talent involved.  It could mean anything from an over-credited coffee fetcher to someone who's closely collaborating with the creative talent.   Sutherland has worked as part of Lynch's creative team for many years, going all the way back to Lost Highway, so I've got a feeling it's likely closer to the latter.

I'm not denigrating the synch theory, but until Lynch states otherwise I've got to go back to his original comments as to his preferred viewing methods for The Return, which is as an "18 hour movie"

As others have said, a television series isn't created by one man, alone in a room. If there was 'syncing' going on, then there'd be people involved with 'syncing' it, and so a producer might actually have a notion whether or not any of that took place.

Theorizing can be fun and harmless if you take it for what it is. And I also realize that some of what's going on here are people trying to outdo one another with progressively wilder theories.

However, when people involved with the show say there's nothing to a theory and one dismisses that explanation out of hand, perhaps that's going down a mental rabbit hole that isn't entirely healthy?

If you outright deny the possibility that it's all just apophenia relating to source material of an overly 'open' nature, then I think you've stopped being a theorist and begun creating your own alternative reality.
