First time post, though i've been glued to this forum since The Return started. First of, i loved every episode of The Return including the finally. The way I look at it (as a Lynch fan), I got to watch a new Lynch movie every Sunday night for 16 weeks. Thats more than I thought i'd ever get again from David Lynch. And I don't see any of these as just "filler" episodes. Every episode has it's unique feeling or mood. At times I was horrified, other times disturbed, others time crying of sadness, and other times crying of joy. Nothing else on TV comes close to taking me somewhere like this. As for the finally, I think there's a lot in there. A lot to swallow. It's not Lynch trying to piss people off. It's Lynch giving us something we never saw coming. A bad fate for our beloved Cooper. I loved it right away, but the more I think about it, the more I understand it. My take on it anyway. It's just the right mix of giving you some of the story and letting you think through the rest. Might be just me, but that's why I was watching. I say "THANK YOU" to Mr. Lynch and Mr. Frost and the entire crew on giving the greatest fictional television experience of my life!!!
