They were referring to TwinPeaks Fan stating that the woman who answered the door was the real-life owner of the house in Everett, WA. So not an actor by profession.
Ah! Thank you - I missed that. The real life owner of the house! I thought she was fine though - there wasn't anything about her that made her stick out or seem less of an actor than most people on TV. Interesting. I still don't get the earlier comment, but it doesn't matter. Thanks, for the info, Jim.
I think in this particular reality, Black Lodge entities covered the house in a psychic smokescreen to try to keep Cooper and Laura out. It was Sarah's house and she was in there. So was Judy. Cooper's confusion was akin to the deputies not remembering anything at the vortex. Lodge activity messes up human minds.
But what do I know?
I agree with this. That's why when they are back into the street, Cooper moves forward and makes a motion with his hand like he did when entering Glastonbury Grove and exiting the waiting room, moving the curtain. Then he becomes aware and asks what year it is. Also think this brings back everything for Carrie/Laura, resulting in her scream.
I believe she was there to represent Reality. She did a great job as an actress.
Damn! But that makes more sense now since the woman at the door seemed very awkward and not much an actress. Not saying anything mean about her, but it clearly isn't her occupation.
--? Trying to unravel your comment - Very awkward describes her well, a combination of suspicious, a bit impatient, and not wanting to be rude - and those are pretty common reactions from people when strangers knock on their doors. But then you're saying you that the actor/actress was awkard-? like your blurring the character's appropriate behavior with the ability of the performer--? "Clearly not her occupation"-- she's not an actor?-- I'm lost.

Yes, exactly what I was referring to.
I apologize if it was unclear. I had to pour myself a (few) drink after the ending, so my assessment may have been mildly liquid induced. Just honoring Sarah.
I think it brought some nice and bizarre reality in. All I was saying that to me, it made more sense after finding out that was the real life owner of the house and discovering the irony of being asked is Sarah Palmer lived there.
P.s. We should all send that woman, and her family if there is one (don't want to assume) flowers or gift baskets or cash just to thank her for being such a good sport.
It seems like the Palmer house is a portal for the lodge spirits.

Yes that has been long suspected. It's not a homey kind of home me thinks! The fan itself sends shivers down my spine. ?
Alright I wanted to share side by side screencaps of the Palmer house and after combing through nine of fourteen pages of threads this is the first house thread I found so sorry if this kind of changed the topic. (side note, I am now wishing that episodes 17 and 18 were broken up into different forum sections. Or you could search for forum threads by keyword. ANYWAY)
Not really a big deal probably but there is a subtle difference between the Palmer house in episode 12 when Hawk visits Sarah... (contd.)
And when Dale brings Laura at the very end. Do you see it?
The landscape is a little different. That's all. But in front of Sarah's house there are full grown shrubs and in front of the house here they are much smaller. So what does that mean? One of three things maybe.
1) This is showing us that the year they are in at the finale is before the year we are watching the majority of the show and the shrubs are much larger and overgrown.
2) The new owners redid their landscape. Not very exciting. :/
3) The props people didn't want to bring their big shrubs back for the dark night scene and hoped nobody would notice. Also not very exciting. Also foolish. :/
So, like I said, maybe nothing but I wanted to share the screencaps so everyone else could see it for themselves. Also want to point out that window from the "the entity is in the window" thread clearly already has something there so I really think it's just a lamp or a piece of furniture near the window.
I see your point about time and the height of the bushes. Very good. The bushes are not the same at all as 1989. Large full grown bushes, of a different type, at that point. Also a second tree flanking the walkway at the curb. Your point about time may still be valid. Lynch could of been doing that here and not bothering to match 1989.
Thanks for the additional shots! It really does show how even though the house from the outside looks nice you can tell a lot from the landscape whether or not someone is bothering to maintain it or decorate the threshold, etc. Even the grass near the curb Hawk is walking up looks scruffy to match the present day dilapidation.
Huh? A heart shaped wreath on the door when James rocks up?
I'm thinking these (Alice)Tremond's sold their house to the up and coming Palmers. Leland and Sarah married in 1968(T.P lore). The car Dale(Richard) was driving is said to have been a 1966-70 make. "What year is this", perhaps is hinting at the past.
I think this Mrs. Tremond is the old woman when she was young, meaning they have travelled back to the past. Just a guess.
Similar to the Woodsman, Mrs. Tremond AKA Mrs. Chalfont is an entity of the black lodge. They were both at the meeting above the convenience store. She would have probably been included in this series but the actress that played her, Frances Bey, passed away.
She seems to occupy properties. In addition to the trailer park, she was living next to Harold in season 2 when Donna encountered her. Then later on Donna and Cooper returned to find a different Mrs. Tremond at the house.
That's just creepy pasta ahhhhhh good catch though.
