Chet Desmond found the Owl ring under neath the Chalfonts trailer. When Dale investigated, the trailer was gone. The residents of the of the trailer that was there before these Chalfonts, were also Chalfonts.
We learned in the final scene that a Mrs Chalfont sold the "Palmer house" to the current residencts, -The Tremond's. What are some theories on how this all occured?
P.S;Man, that ending was spooky! Thanks David Lynch!
i found it interesting both their names where spoken, they are the same only different in FWWM and series right? , i find this important.

Off topic but same theme... That was the real owner of the house. I thought it was funny that they joked about the Twin Peaks fans likely ringing her doorbell and asking for Sarah Palmer.
Wow, thats interesting. David Lynch is something else.
Damn! But that makes more sense now since the woman at the door seemed very awkward and not much an actress. Not saying anything mean about her, but it clearly isn't her occupation.
I think in this particular reality, Black Lodge entities covered the house in a psychic smokescreen to try to keep Cooper and Laura out. It was Sarah's house and she was in there. So was Judy. Cooper's confusion was akin to the deputies not remembering anything at the vortex. Lodge activity messes up human minds.
But what do I know?
Similar to the Woodsman, Mrs. Tremond AKA Mrs. Chalfont is an entity of the black lodge. They were both at the meeting above the convenience store. She would have probably been included in this series but the actress that played her, Frances Bey, passed away.
She seems to occupy properties. In addition to the trailer park, she was living next to Harold in season 2 when Donna encountered her. Then later on Donna and Cooper returned to find a different Mrs. Tremond at the house.

Is that then indicative of Cooper crossing the fourth wall? If so, MacLachlan should have been credited as himself.

--? Trying to unravel your comment - Very awkward describes her well, a combination of suspicious, a bit impatient, and not wanting to be rude - and those are pretty common reactions from people when strangers knock on their doors. But then you're saying you that the actor/actress was awkard-? like your blurring the character's appropriate behavior with the ability of the performer--? "Clearly not her occupation"-- she's not an actor?-- I'm lost.

I thought she was too busy attempting to keeping Jerry from stealing her marble rye

They were referring to TwinPeaks Fan stating that the woman who answered the door was the real-life owner of the house in Everett, WA. So not an actor by profession.

Donna brings Coop expecting to find "Mrs. Tremond & her grandson." A woman named Tremond answers, and responds to Donna "My mother passed away 3 years ago. And I don't have any children." The "Tremonds" showed up for Donna to lead her to Harold.
In FWWM Coop is drawn by his gifted nature to the space where the "Chalfonts" had their trailer ( where Chet had found the ring ).
Ok, so it looks it will be my first post on this subforum... Completely don't know what to say but is it all about Chalfonts/Tremonds?! Insane! It only makes me think about "home" references throughout the season. And ultimate confusion that's happening when you don't have a home and you've got nowhere to go.
