What a treat. Lynch made Cooper return like a super hero and the bad guy is defeated in a scary, hilarious chaos filled ending that made the heart jump with joy. The good guys win. Then he gave us just a little more if we dared to go further. Maybe teaching us something about craving, wanting...and allowing us to be apart of the creative process, sharing that with us. Everybody on this site has come up with so many amazing ideas, its almost like the show is a sketch of an idea but what that sketch sparks in everyones minds is the show.

Good points.  I loved the whole thing, even if I'm still trying to unpack much of it.

Personally I think it has been the best thing that as ever been on television and possibly the best thing that Lynch as ever done.  It was way better than the original.  I read an article in the Guardian the other day saying this was like Lynch's swan song and if you think about it with all the references to his favourite movies and directors from Sunset Boulevard, Wizard of Oz, Vertigo, Kubrick, tati etc. and using imagery from all of his past films and Twin Peaks as well as most of the actors he as worked with over the years and sound collaborators you could probably say that is true.  We will have to wait and see.  But if it is the last big film/television project he will do he as definitely gone out on a high.  I have loved every minute of this new Twin Peaks.  This as definitely been the greatest television show I have ever watched.

Yes. Really moved me around in many ways and makes "Two birds in one stone" make sense to me if you think of it in terms of he gave us two endings that could make two different thinking types of fans happy. Those who like things tied up with happy endings and those who want the mystery to continue and echo on for infinity.
