hello people new to the site but ive been lurking on and off since season 3 started.
Like many people the finale has set me thinking far more than i really want to on any given day. However what i have been batting around my head the past couple days is this..is Dale Cooper a lodge spirit? im sure many have said this before (and if its come up before sorry if this topic has been to death).
I am leaning this way based on the flimsiest of thoughts so feel free to shoot me down.
in fire walk with me (a prequel to the show)i think theres a scene dale comes into the lodge and the arm asks dale "do you know who I am". Why would the arm ask dale this if this is the first time they have ever crossed paths?
in part 17 when dale is going to go back in time he makes several gestures with his hand clearly turning back time. can a normal person manipulate the lodge powers (magic) in such a way. Remember when Earle tried to use the lodge Bob appeared and reversed Earles actions and killed him for it.
is it possible that Dale is host to a lodge spirit called the magician? true dale doesnt seem to be aware of this but maybe theres a gestation period between getting infected/becoming a host and the manifistation of being aware of it. The full fire walk with me chant is always said in the prescence of or said directly to Dale.
sorry for the long ass first post and im sure there was more rattling around my noggin but this post is long enough lol anyway fire away.
I think he's a lodge spirit because he can remember across alternate realities. Regular humans don't seem to be able to do that. That's why Diane thinks she's Linda but Cooper knows he isn't Richard.
