Lynch is not really what you would call an exceptional explicator.

It's all good fun.  The show, all the chatter, ideas, theories and discussion.  

People here have added more enjoyment to the viewing than I ever thought possible.

Or if someone printed them they'd have a fan fiction library 

piecing clues together is one thing, but a lot of the "theroies" on here are self-indulgent fan fiction crap devoid of proper and competent analysis

As you said, this Lynch, but he is an excellent explicator, once it is explained by him.  The rest of us need to start with "only one person knows what's going on, or what went on David Lynch"
