Hello everyone,
First post on this forum. Let me explain my point.
I think season 3 was the ultimate fight between the White lodge versus. Black lodge. During all the season long, Mr C. tried to find the coordinates of the white lodge to destroy it. But Fireman had a plan.
The first part was to kill Bob by trapping him in the white lodge and pushing him near the fist of Freddie.
Then the plan was to make Laura disappear from the world of Twin Peaks where she was discovered by the black lodge as a powerful force to destroy them. That's why she disappeared near the white lodge at the end of episode 17. The Fireman save her from being killed and emprisonned in the black lodge. He changes her identity as Carrie Page and put her in another world or timelines.
And finally the final plan, mentioned by Gordon in episode 17, and detailed in the first scene of the season 3 when the fireman gives instructions to Dale Cooper : 430, Richard and Linda, two birds with one stone. He understands and has to remember it (which was not the case but whatever). That's the plan to find Laura and destroy definitely the black lodge. The gold orb in episode 8 does not have a name but a face so Laura or Carrie is not the point. At the end when Cooper ring the door of Palmer's house, Mrs Tremond opened the door like in season 2 with Donna. I think the Tremonds are the warden of the Black Lodge to dissimulate and protect it. Laura found out what's going on and screamed which destroyed the Black Lodge (light suddenly off). It's a weapons like the fist of Freddie.
At the end the good won. We are waiting for the final report from Mark Frost which means that the case is over.
PS: I don't think Sarah Palmer is the mother. I think she's the evolution of the "animal life" member of the convenience store as there is evolution of woodsmen, bob/Richard Horne, mike, arm.
Let me know what do you think about that.
I partially agree... Laura's dead body disappearing surely means the timeline has changed but the part about black lodge destroyed is dubious.
Cooper was rather annoyed and confused about what's going on. He sure thought something is wrong. Why would the Firemen hide the very purpose from him?
And Tremond we saw had no facial expression of fear, anger etc.
It seemed like a fair draw, not a defeat.
