29 years ago today something else happened.
"The date: February 23, 1989."

February 23rd 1989, Laura Palmer's last diary entry:
“Cloudy. Sort of giddy. Not even cautiously optimistic. Day eighteen. Eight o'clock. Asparagus for dinner again. I hate asparagus. Does this mean I'll never grow up????????? Nervous about meeting J tonight.”
I gotta read that diary again. It's been well over 20 years since I last read it.

The day 18 part has me confused, I need to see what happened 18 days ago to reconcile. Does anyone know how she counts her days?
BTW, tomorrow is my Fathers Birthday...no such thing as coincidences and all that...

And today just happens to be February 23rd.......

Not that I don't have enough to sift through on my next run through, but does anyone recall Cooper giving Jefferies an exact time or location on February 23rd, 1989? That is puzzling to say the least....

Yeah, no, I don't recall it.

Yeah, no, I don't recall it.
OK, well assuming it was never said, how the hell did Cooper end up in the right place at the right time? I mean we all know Jefferies and his issues, Cooper could have ended up in Buenos Aries doing the Tango while Laura walked through the woods to her death...just a slight hole in the story but I still get the drift...

PLUS...Season 3 was wrapped around coordinates, wouldn't Cooper need coordinates to give to Jefferies along with a specific time, in order to be standing right where Laura was going to walk to at the right time she was going to walk?
Slight Slip by L/F or am I missing something?
I think the answer here is simply that Jeffries knew what he meant

The timing would have been problematic as even James didn't know the exact time when he was interrogated by Cooper.
The location would definitely been tricky without coordinates, I mean who else but James and Laura knew which path she took to meet Leo and Jacques (sp)...
But Jefferies seemed to know a lot more than most even in his human form so it's possible.
