Even talking about it is a spoiler; it's a new layer of experience... Aside from the plot coming together much much stronger than I'd anticipated, the way the sound synchronizes is just beautiful, effects and soundtrack elements jump between windows, the characters interact, the commentary and context creates additional humour and meaning, it's completely and utterly ingenious...
Now all I can think about is the sweeping scene and now I'm wondering how many other episodes interact if played simultaneously.... This season could be a bottomless pit!!!

Originally the season was 9 hour long episodes. Now we have 18 hour ish long episodes. Something in that? Maybe we have a total dichotomy on our hands. We have 9 hours from two sides of the coin. 2 birds, one stone.
I thought that initially but seeing as 8 and 17 both synch with 18 it makes me think there is possibly a lot more in this than just pairs, and then someone else realised that the two My Prayer scenes also synch up so this could even be on a scene by scene basis... There is some very deep digging to be done!
There don't need to be any patern 🙂 Some can be played 3 , others 2 , and maybe some don't have pair. It can be chaos.
I think you're right, and people are already pointing out other links like American Woman being played in two scenes - one with Diane, one with Mr C, plus Carrie screaming at the slug makes me think the screaming girl on the Roadhouse / Bang Bang floor is another one...
