I watched the finale 24 hours after almost everybody here.
Hundreds posts were posted, impossible to read all of them, and probably there is a discussion / theory about this pole #6 in Odessa.
If someone can give me a link...
Thanks.
I don't recall seeing a thread precisely about that. But this forum did light up like a Christmas Tree in Rockerfeller center and hasn't dimmed since. So there could a dozen posts about....well, the post, and we may never find them. So if you have a theory or question, I strongly urge you to go ahead and start anew. 🙂
New here myself so I haven't looked back too far but to me it seems the #6 utility pole is The Arm.

That's an interesting thought. What led you to draw this conclusion?
And, welcome to the forum!
Isn't it the same electric pole with #6 on it that we saw in FWWM? In my thinking, this is the "real" electric pole and the one in FWWM was the one in a dream.

The pole 6 was seen right after Carl Rodd saw the flame coming off of the dead boy, then he changed from being upset in the van with Mickey to creating a just community in his trailer park. Now we have this pole in front of Carrie Page's house, changing from the 'happy ending' of 17 and its result, the 'sleepwalking' while the 'evil in those woods' natural slow decay and violence takes over blindly with force, slow decay, etc. The 'happy solution' covering over the pain/negativity/problems, etc., and the negative reaction to them, to stupid nature which does not fit the dreams. Mere factual solution(Agent Cooper 'getting everything done' then trying to forget about the problems) ends up in sleepwalking, Odessa, now changing the electricity back to the core problem of Twin Peaks, Laura Palmer tragedy, after going into Judy's diner....just the beginning here, completion of the return to proper Twin Peaks.....
Here its not really about changing from thinking to acting, but changing the thinking/dreaming, since Carl Rodd was first upset, then looking to nature/community and was pleased with the mother and kid, now after the 'hit and run' he was unable to continue in this optimism, had more of a negative reaction/pessimism with how things were going, thus was able to gain distance from it, see the problems better, better view of things going on; thus he started to know about Steven and Becky's situation, then knew about Criskol's situation......he was acting in both instances, but negatively changed the view with 6 electric pole. Now we had Cooper and Laura 'sleepwalking' and upset with their lives in motel/Odessa, now changing the electricity back to the problems that ruined both of their lives, crushed the dreams, etc....world/nature is not worth the allegiance, etc., big vortex/void in it, problems cannot escape, etc....

The same, yes (Deer Meadow). It also made an appearance in Twin Peaks this season (when Richard ran the boy over). The Fireman showed Andy three of them, so it makes sense that the third showed up in Odessa.

Oh, there was a third one. I totally forgot about that. Good recall!

The fact that it makes the sound the Arm says it makes whenever we see it. The "evolved" arm with it branches and head looks a bit like the utility poll with it's arms and transformer. Plus the obvious significance electricity has taken on.
Pretty sure it was in Andy's vision.

This is confirmed. I just compared the scenes from episode 14 and 18. The third one is definitely Odessa. I actually posted about it hastily, and then saw this thread. Oops!
I originally made a new post, and then just saw this thread, so I deleted mine and will just repost it here:
"When the Fireman shows Andy the vision in episode 14, it ends with images of the #6 pole. Not just one, but different shots. The last shot clearly shows the pole with the red picket fence behind it, which is Odessa, outside Carrie Page's home. Why do you think the the Fireman would show this to Andy?
He also looks pained when he sees it. I never noticed that before, but his mouth opens and his expression completely changes. Since it's clear that we are only getting glimpses of his vision (he knows just what to do when he comes back to Jackrabbit's Palace), I suspect he sees Carrie Page/Laura Palmer. "

I like your interpretation. It makes sense. Something is definitley off about Andy. As he's about to leave he even looks unable to breathe for a brief moment. He was definitely shocked by something.
I think the #6 utility poles serve as a conduit for lodge entities. The one located outside of Carrie's house also likely allows Judy or whatever entity that planted Laura in the alternate reality to keep tabs on her. Just as Cooper came out of an electrical outlet to replace Dougie, Laura's new life as Carrie may have started the same way, after being kidnapped from the woods in Twin Peaks.

Very, yrev plausible.
