Numberplates are different, but could it be the same car? Watch the strange dot at the front, is it vanilla on this type of car? (Which car is it by the way?)
That's very interesting. It certainly looks like the same make & model. I have no idea about what type of car it is though. I don't recognize those details.
Wowww. Sweet find.
However, what on earth do you mean by "watch the strange dot at the front, is it vanilla on this type of car?"?
I'm fascinated to know what you're driving at (b'dum-crshh)

It's a 2003 Lincoln Town Car, and probably the same in episode 2 and 18.
Excellent find find!! I've been thinking (like many probably) that the Cooper at the very end is kind of a combo of all the Cooper's we've known. Or shucks, he might be straightup Mr. C, and if Mr. C was exiled to this world to destroy Judy (??) that's a happier ending than our classic Coop being lost forever trying too hard to fix an unfixable problem.
Then again, I'm also of the SamXtherapy school of thought: There is no one single story/meaning. Lynch/Frost wrote and intended for there to be a variety of equally legitimate interpretations. This car would just be part of the pattern lending credence to the one interpretation that we've got Mr. C at the end instead of classic Cooper.
Or this might just be a sign that TPTR was shot on a tiny budget and they couldn't afford another car. Heheheh
