Mr. C great Job by Kyle, unlike Dougie Jones.
Albert, I mean come on. Of course Albert.
Abraham Lincoln Woodsman. His DJ stint was the best part of the whole season for me.
Gotta light?
Sarah (she's a survivor, an amazing performance)
Chantal & Hutch (sorry, they count as 1, made me laugh)
Log Lady (her performance really touched me)
Shoutout to Janey E. (she keeps things going and takes no prisoners)
Sarah...she was haunting to perfection.
Chantel and Hutch (counts as one) - they were like the Laurel and Hardy of murder.
Mr Todd - love that actor.
Honorable mention - Tracy and Jade...because boobs.
1.) Sarah (though I wish she had a bit more screen time and further character development - because Grace Zabriskie is top notch).
2.) Carl (vehicle summoning whistle/flute/thing . . . need I say more?).
3.) Diane (in all her variations - because Laura Dern).
The Carl scene with him giving the guy money and telling him not to sell his blood was my favourite scene of the series.
Brings me great joy just thinking about it.
(1) Gordon Cole - Not just great comic relief, but also someone who has more going on under the surface. At one point in the season I thought he might turn out to have some ulterior motive or hidden knowledge that he was purposely hiding that would essentially make him a villain. But who could hate Gordon Cole? "Faces of stone." "Fix their hearts or die." "Please."
(2) Special Agent Dale Cooper - Even trapped for 13 episodes without any non-mimicry dialogue, Kyle MachLachlan was amazing. The first 4 episodes of Cooper navigating through the Black Lodge, the box, and the Purple Castle were captivating, not knowing where he was going or where he was going to end up. "I understand." "Case files." "I AM the FBI."
(3) Sarah Palmer - Grace Zabriskie is one of the greatest actresses I have ever been blessed to watch. Stunning performances throughout. Even though we still don't really know what happened to Sarah, her tortured repetitive self-destructive behavior was fascinating to watch.
The Mitchum brothers and entourage.
Gordon Cole
New Truman
1. Dougie Jones, no contest
2. Sarah, she's just unbelievable. Her and Leland I felt were the best actors in original series too. Definitely too little screen time
3. Albert
The best scene in this season, or most humoristic,is the comments from the Mitchum brothers, when they saw what happened in the sheriff station, i could hardly believe it was a scene in Twin Peaks :)'
1. Mitchum brothers
2. Gordon Cole
3. Dale/Laura Scene shares the 3.
- Dale - I loved how assertive and confident he was in Part 16.
- Mr C - I never quite knew what he was going to do next.
- Dougie Cooper - he was funny.
This is difficult so I'm going to ignore the obvious Mr C because it goes without saying just how awesome he is.
Gordon Cole - because he's awesome and provides all the necessary blue rose exposition.
Albert - because he's amazing.
Bobby Briggs - I love how his character evolved into this very three dimensional character. I would have liked to see more Bobby scenes.
1. Bobby Briggs - loved seeing the evolution of his character.
2. Mr. C - total badass that made me lean forward whenever he was on screen.
3. Janey-E - "terrible cars."
Sarah Palmer, poor Sarah, drunken, abused and possessed. Just when you've written her off as some empty soul living in a loop of great loss, she actually gets a chance for some justice. Most of us have had that "Truck You"guy in our lives at some point (If you haven't, you're probably him) and we would have enjoyed being able to rip through his throat. Sarah did it for us and it was amazing.
Tammy, beautiful intelligent geek agent, constantly moving but still. She flows as if she is infinitely performing Tai Chi while recreating poses she saw in her recent copy of Vogue. My favorite scene of hers was the Hastings interrogation. Her face moved in ways that seemed impossible. Yet, it expressed curiousity and concern while maintaining her professional demeanor. She lulls Bill into a sense of security and he tells her everything, even the part about wanting to go scuba diving.
Janey E the petite blond with a lousy tulpa for a husband doesnt stop getting things done and will protect her family to the end of the world. Her reaction to Cooper is incredible because she is not used to getting what she deserves. I love when the honest-to-goodness Coop starts driving and asks where the casino is. Janey E, despite being awkwardly confused and highly stimulated is quick to remind him that he won't be doing any more gambling. A female Coop if there ever was one.
And since I am a Math Atheist, I will continue on with answer four of threee. The version of Dougie Jones played by Good Coop. Behind the seeming dullness, you could see the glimpses of our beloved Special Agent Dale Cooper trying to figure out how to be himself again. The green jacket and that coffee face in the elevator -perfection. Forget cherry pie, get him a slice of Janey E's chocolate cake.
1. Sheryl Lee.
She wasn't in it much but it doesn't matter. The series from 1 thru 3 begins and ends with Laura Palmer, and it is her face and red room scenes I can never forget. It's her show.
2. Mr C.
Strong, cohesive, purposeful character. We don't have to ask a 1000 questions about his identity. We know who/what/ where he was. Provides the center, the focal point, before we lost all clarity at the end. Great acting.
3. Richard Horne.
I just really enjoyed all his scenes and wish he had been more integral to the story. A damaged character.
Seconded!
1) Mr.C: Strong, determinate and bad ass character. Entered my top 5 of best bad guys ever.
2) Chantal and Hutch: Funny and terrible at the same time.
3) Albert Rosenfeild: Because I loved his non stop sarcasms. Because Miguel Ferrer was fantastic and because I laughed my head off in the car's scene where he shout at Gordon. "Carsick!!"
