Around the dinner table, the conversation was lively. Thank you but for now, the forum has been archived.
Part of the confusion may be due to the fact that Snoqualmie Falls and the TP shooting locations in that area are about 100 miles South East of Seattle.
Yes, of course it's fictitious. However, it is clearly stated in the very beginning of it all that it is NE WA, a few miles south of Canadian border, a few miles west of Idaho border. (I don't remember how many a "few" is supposed to be so I don't want to misquote it).
Also, not 100% sure on this, but didn't we see an "approx" location recently on somebodies GPS as they were looking at the infamous coordinates?
This is the approx location with the coordinates.
yrev close to Twin Peaks on the 1990 map :
so... can Twin Peaks be some kind of Dutchman's place? If it's all a dream, and the dreamer stop dreaming... can Twin Peaks dissapear? "You never wanna know about that" says Hawk about that "mother" Symbol... what happen if that symbol represent the end of the dream... Twin Peaks falling apart in some kind of black hole and dissapearing like the convenience store...
Sure, it's possible. There was some heated debate regarding this "Deer Meadow" issue early on in the season. I think the consensus came down to Lynch/Frost playing fast and loose with geography and glossing over the fact that the Fat Trout trailer park should technically be a 6-ish hour drive from Twin Peaks. Clearly, in this current series, that is not the case.
But yeah, maybe there's something much more phenomenal than that going on, although the skeptic in me says it's really just an editorial rewrite because they wanted to use the trailer park and the phone pole now.

This is the NEW Fat Trout trailer park, as noted on the sign. TSHOTP references its relocation to TP from Deer Meadow.

Meaning it used to be in TP but is now in DM?
DM used to be in SW WA but is now just outside TP?
It used to be in Deer Meadow, across the state from TP. It was relocated to TP.
Along, seemingly, with the electric pole.

"It", just for clarity, being the trailer park.
"Why land in Spokane?"
Because it is the center of the universe (actually that's nearby Wallace, ID)! And because Lynch lived there (here) once upon a time. It's the infamous "Inland Empire."
And, as previously mentioned, because it is a short drive north to Twin Peaks, a fact established with mentions of Spokane's proximity in the Guide to Twin Peaks map, The Twin Peaks Tapes of Agent Cooper ("Diane, 9 am. Preparing to board flight 210, commuter flight, fifteen-seater, arriving in Spokane 10:15 am.") and Fire Walk With Me ("Chet, give Sam Stanley the glad hand. He's come over from Spokane!").
I noticed Frost & Co. got it wrong on the dust jacket of The Secret History of Twin Peaks, referring to an investigation of Cooper's many moons ago in "northwest Washington State." Oh well, Seattle always steals the spotlight.
Hmm, someone I won't name in this topic has read the spoilers for the final episode and posted (albeit interesting) speculation based on them... just saying, be careful 😉
Got a question, fellas. Probably unsolvable.
How far is there from Spokane to the new Fat Trout? Remebering the Giants words to Coop in EP01, he may have left to look for Linda ( assuming it's the same Linda Carl was talking about ).
