Around the dinner table, the conversation was lively. Thank you but for now, the forum has been archived.
Coffee was awful though, too solid.
Explains why Dougie nearly woke up every time he took a cup of damn-above-average coffee in Vegas.
Coffee did look awful. And what else would be awful in a 25 year waiting room?
Loads I imagine. I hope that the menu changed seasonally. I hope that the rest room was regularly serviced. I hope that the jukebox was occasionally updated. I hope that the magazines weren't 6 month old celebrity 'gossip' magazines that we get over here in our doctors surgeries. That would be terrible.
I have a feeling that living in the waiting room is akin to having a weird dream where stuff happens that's neither a good dream nor a nightmare, just things that make you go 'wut?' when you wake up. Harmless events without any connection with each other. And then for a while you'd blank out (most of the time when you sleep you're not dreaming of course), which probably makes it easier to last for 25 years in there.
At least, that could seriously explain why Coop' is back to being so joyful: it was just a weird dream, no biggie.
I hope Albert dies, and I hope it's poetic. Don't know how much Miguel Ferrer knew about his prognosis while filming; he certainly put up a strong front. But he deserves a sendoff like the Log Lady's. Hope some Lynchian TV magic can make it happen.
You forgot about Margaret already?
Ah, yes. She was killed-off out of necessity, though (which, if I'm to be honest - and morbid - is why I put Albert down as one likely to be killed off). And Catherine Coulson and David Lynch go back a long way. I wasn't sure if they would actually have Margaret die, or just let her fade out, but am pleased with how they handled it.
Lots of great ideas here. Here are my thoughts on the deceased:
- Albert - He's a favorite, but I think he foreshadowed his own end, when he said he was the only one who hasn't gone missing. Maybe he'll just go to the white lodge.
- Mister C - dead (hopefully)
- Cooper - either alive, or immortalized in the white lodge, or some unknown fate in hopes of S4
- I think one of the TP police officers will die (hopefully not Hawk, but I'm worried)
- Either a Mitchum Bro or Candie
- Red & Shelly - she should have stayed with Bobby
- Carl Rodd - he's been so nice to everyone and he'll go out trying to help someone
- Sarah Palmer - after some sort of resolution of the sadness in her life
- Judy - whoever she is
- Charlie - because Audrey won't need him any longer

And of course, Tina, Angela, Chuck, Billy, Zebra, Penguin...

Norma.
David Bowie, because I'm in denial
We all are 🙁
Sarah P will be the death of Bad C. But she'll die too. With angels.
- Brandy Fisher - Don't remember the exact details, but I remember in a previous post something about her dying at the end of the series (I assume she might remember).
Wait - who is Brandy Fisher? If I missed a character YIKES

I am hoping we haven't seen the last of Mrs. Lanterman

One of our fellow posters she jokingly suggested she was starting to talk backwards and putting her out of her misery was my suggestion. It was meant as a bit of dry humor.
