Last night I was the dreamer. I was going to a funeral in Twin Peaks. As soon as I opened the door to enter, my cat jumped on me, and that was the end of that. It got me thinking about the culminating events. We're likely to have some casualties. Who do you think we'll lose in the battle of good vs. evil?
PS- If you have spoiler info - do not post. This is for speculation and entertainment, as both are specialties in this forum. : )
Im pretty sure Coop's going to die. Bad Coop as well.
Wouldn't be surprised if Andy or Lucy go either. And Hawk.
And Chad. I hope Chad dies.
You want an exhaustive list or not?
Sure survivals at the end of the season:
David Lynch, Monica Bellucci, Mélita Toscan du Plantier and whoever else showed up in the dream sequence. Mark Frost because I doubt he'd write (or even fake) his own death. The charming ladies in the show because that'd piss me off (Constance Talbot, Candie, Gersten...). David Bowie, because I'm in denial. Dougie Jones, because David Lynch give two rides.
Unsure survivals:
Mark Frost's dog, the dreamer (whoever that is), Mr. C's hairstyle, Doina ドイナ (that's Naido's doppelganger, but she's we're not sure she even exists in the first place), the Convenience Store, the Entering Snoqualmie sign before the Convenience Store (someone's bound to steal it), and the Polish accountant.
Nearly certain deaths:
One of the Coops, or one of their doppelgangers' tulpa's golem's neighbors. Truck You. Prospects of a new season.
Sure deaths:
The gleeful anticipation of every next episode.
I think Albert and/or Cole. Possibly Hawk and/or Bobby. Red and Bad Coop.
I think good Coop will survive; it's the least he deserves after sitting in the lodge for 25 years. His posture/back pain must be insufferable.
Yeah it makes sense (we're in a TV show, where we get invested in characters in the long term, not in a movie where you can have fun with them in the end), but maybe instead of moving on, he'll level up instead.
(Also, he was sitting in the *waiting* room. I'm pretty sure they have comfy enough chairs for those long waits!)

Well yes, I suppose it would be one-or-the-other with no middle ground: Either terrible posture, or perfect posture because lets face it - you've had time to practice.
Coffee was awful though, too solid.
Explains why Dougie nearly woke up every time he took a cup of damn-above-average coffee in Vegas.
The Chad and the will be the lone survivors. The Chad will raise his arms in victory, laughing maniacally, the drunk behind him, parroting Chad's every sound.
Just as we are all hanging our heads in despair, mentally dictating the hate mail we will send Lynch/Frost once our shock and depression wear off, Sarah's Llama comes charging in and tramples The Chad but stops short of running over the drunk, since that guy might be infectious. Sarah calmly walks up to the scene, a bloody mary in one hand, a lighter in the other. A woodsman joins her, and is about to speak, but before he can say anything, Sarah flicks her zippo lighter (on her leg like a badass) and lights the woodsman's cigarette. The woodsman looks at her with shock and gratitude and says "This is the beginning of a beautiful friendship." We pan over to the spectral images of Agent Cooper, Laura Palmer, and Charlie smiling with pride. As the scene fades, there is a flash of Leo Johnson. He spits and says "New shoes."
The end.
sorry about the spoiler but I thought you all should know
It just came to my mind that Leo Johnson was the ancestor of Dougie. @_@
KM! In his twitter q&a, made another reference to the possibility of "putting the suit back on". Whether of not that is realistic, it would imply his survival. Or not, as this is TP. Perhaps his face will come off, and light shine through...
Trying to get back to my helpful and engaged self for the final, I will dive in. I've predicted many week ago (so I guess I am committed) to the death of Albert in a manner that allows the death of Evil Coop. Additionally, I'll add these predictions:
- H S Truman - we will hear the sad news of his passing
- Evil Coop - See above
- Albert - See above
- Becky - Not sure how or why, but it's just a gut feeling (and no not at that loser Steven's hands, as I stated before he's not even capable of successfully killing himself)
- Naido - Can't forget my previous prediction again, she be gone (not before somehow providing valuable information to the good guys). I originally suggested Richard would do it, but don't guess that is going to hold up.
- Laura - This might seem odd, but she will return somehow, but only to stop the thing inside her mother (guessing that might be the experiment, although the jumping man/woman sorcerer would be another idea) then, she will be consumed back into the Fireman. Not sure this counts as a death.
- Brandy Fisher - Don't remember the exact details, but I remember in a previous post something about her dying at the end of the series (I assume she might remember).
Die:
Albert (it saddens, as I like Miguel Ferrer and love his portrayal of Albert this season, but I just think he's going to go).
Mr. C (I mean, this is a given, right? He has to go.
One of the Mitchum Brothers (probably Rodney)
Disappear:
Dale Cooper (what I mean by this is he will, to the eyes of everyone in Twin Peaks, disappear, but I think we as the audience will see him in one of the lodges, hopefully the white lodge, where he'll be sitting across from a smiling Fireman for a debriefing)
I think that Lynch really loves all of the Twin Peaks townsfolk from the original show too much to kill any of them, even though I think it would make for a huge dramatic impact if he did. The only denizens of the town we've seen die so far in The Return have all been new to the show in 2017.
You forgot about Margaret already?
She's already gone. I was focusing my ideas on post episode 16 deaths.
Who do you think we'll lose in the battle of good vs. evil?
