First, bad Coop has got black eyes because he hides his glassy eyes with lenses.

Second, Audrey is in the black lodge because we hear electricity cracking while she looks at her in the mirror and during the credits the orchestra plays "Audrey's dance" on reverse mode.

Audrey is a Tulpa made by Bad Coop like Dougie and Diana (after being raped). She is in a confused state of mind and like Diana, she is "not her".

Wait... is the Audrey we're seeing a tulpa? Or is she the real Audrey, and her tulpa is out somewhere in the real world?

The problem I have with this is (based on the rudimentary information about tulpas we've been given in the show), tulpas are typically a copy (so to speak) of a person, and then they're put out into the real world. The "real" person may either be alive and trapped somewhere, or, possibly, dead.

The Audrey we've seen in The Return definitely seems as if she's trapped somewhere, which, if you're going to go down the tulpa route, would make it seem like she's the real Audrey. This begs the question: If Audrey is trapped in a lodge, then is she simply just trapped there, needing to be freed, or is she trapped there with a tulpa on the loose in the real world?

We've haven't heard boo about Audrey from anyone in the real world, except for brief mentions from Doc Hayward and Richard Horne. Neither of those gave any real clue as to her current status. If she does have a tulpa, then it's likely not running around Twin Peaks, or else Sheriff Truman would have gone to her instead of Ben about the hit-and-run.

So, if (if) there is an Audrey tulpa out there, then she likely pulled a Bad Cooper, and left Twin Peaks to go roam the world.

So, it's an interesting theory, but I'd say that, if it has merit, then we likely haven't actually seen the tulpa Audrey, only the real one.

To be honest, I think fans have gone a bit tulpa mad. I don't think every character has a tulpa. I think it was a plot point brought up to foreshadow what we saw with Diane this week, and to retroactively explain Dougie Jones. I don't think there's a tulpa around every corner, nor do I really think that Audrey has one. But, I could be wrong.

It's possible Mr C's eyes changed colour.  Mine have done so, several times.  They're currently hazel but have been brown and green over the years.  In any case, it'd make more sense for him to wear lenses that match the colour of Coop's, rather than all black.

I like the Audrey idea.  It has something about it.
