So was Richard Horne just a red herring? We see him do some bad things. Miriam and the letters mean nothing. We think he might be Mr C and Audrey's son. After 16 hours we find out he is.

At the moment my experience as the audience is like Richard. Lynch has told me to get in The Return truck. He tells me we'll talk on the way. I learn nothing during the 16 hour drive and then I'm zapped without knowing why.

Or maybe I'm more like Jerry. I've spent 16 hours stoned in the woods and now I'm seeing something down the wrong end of a binocular.

I wouldn't put it past Frost and Lynch to drop in such a reference.

"Hey David, how about this?"

"Hell yes!  That'll give the buggers something to chew on."

While I found no sadness for Richard.  Instead of laughing or smiling about Jerry's situation, I just found it very sad and pathetic.

I'm still holding on to hope for Jerry. A perfect scenario would be Jerry and Carl getting to Twin Peaks for a 'Bookhouse Boys' reunion...

Looking down the wrong end probably saved his eyesight.
