Around the dinner table, the conversation was lively. Thank you but for now, the forum has been archived.
I have figured out who the dreamer is........Pieter! And we are all variables in his Dissertation research on either Social Psychology or Cultural Anthropology. We are just lines of x's and y's and only exist because Pieter makes it so.
If I were working a a Doctoral in any form of Psych or Sociology, this forum is EXACTLY what I would create to conduct my research.
Now we know. Carry on.
What user name do you suppose Mark Frost would use...?
Surely those two glance at the mad ferreting, no?
The Dreamer is Audrey and she just woke up.
I still stongly believe that the identity of 'the dreamer' will be left to each and every one of us to interpret in our own way in the way in which we experience the show from our own perspective.
David Lynch is notorious for believing in the audiences unique perspectives in his movies and never really reveals the deeper meanings in his films (and this is indeed an 18hour film).

I have often wondered that. Do you think they would engage or just watch and chuckle or scream in frustration?

He would chuckle indeed!
We went to his book signing in our town last fall where he gave a reading and a little talk--so much fun, Mädchen Amick was there. We stood in line and, just like David Lynch at his signings, he patiently gave everyone time to gawk and stupidly blab on, and he just sweetly smiled and engaged eye contact with each rabid fan, ourselves included, he chuckled politely, but never once appeared impatient or hurried anyone out of there.
But, he wasn't just aloof; he did actually converse with you; I was surprised. Neat guy. 🙂 🙂
