The birds sing a pretty song

I was thinking about the death of Chantal and Hutch and what she says about the bird song keeping them awake.  Hutch asks Chantal if she heard the birds that morning and she says she "sure as shit did."

I wonder if the birds were some kind of message. Not likely we'll ever know, but "the owls are not what they seem"--what about other birds?

Good catch.  Most likely a significant line, since it's likely Mike and his pals engineered things to keep Cooper safe.  Maybe Chantal was irritable because her sleep was interrupted, as well as being "on the rag" (a phrase I ain't heard since school) and out of Cheetos.  All of which made her more liable to fly off the handle with the accountant.

The accountant reminded me of a friend's late father.  The accent and the total "take no shit, fear no man" attitude was exactly the same.

Thanks for sharing that! I love that scene, his dance and the pretty song. also love the final Hutch & Chantal scene. Great post!
