I just have to give a big THANKS to David Lynch and Mark Frost for giving us(me) such an AWESOME television show! I am not a T.V fanatic, I actually think we need to STOP watching it as much as we can. BUT this t.v show just, from the first day I watched it, has given me so much inspiration and happiness(this inner kind of happiness, peace), haha temporary sure. Not only the happiness, but this feeling of oneness being a human. When Dale woke up "100%", I felt so happy, relieved. And the way Lynch, and co. helped it to sink in by playing Laura's Theme, oh my! Greatness! And then when Dale said his goodbyes to Janie E, I could feel her heart being torn in two when she asked him to stay. It felt so real. Not happy, but still human! Lauras life,..not happy! But very human!
To give a few examples of the happy TP moments that hit my spot-when Dale hit it off with Annie
-how that waitress at the RR has the silliest laugh
-the way Dale brushed off Audrey in the gentlest way in the first season(after Audrey came into his bedroom)
-even the way Leland broke down in tears when he found out Laura was dead(I know..he killed her! kinda). And on and on.
Its this very human feeling that Twin Peaks has given us, that I appreciate so much, and that was there in Episode 16. Late in the season indeed, but seriously, if this was the way the show had to end, I would've been satisfied.
Toast to Dale being back "100%"!
I totally agree with you!
Isn't Twin Peaks amazing? I was 18, in university, when it first aired, and I was mesmerized from the Pilot Episode, and have been living inside a dream every since.
Twin Peaks, in my opinion, has shown us the power of what a television series can be, and has given us so many great moments.
But to watch Agent Cooper "wake up", and with the swelling music of Falling playing loudly in the background, oh my God, it gave me chills. It's the most powerful piece of television to date that I've ever witnessed. The emotion, the chills, the happiness of seeing our Cooper back and back with intensity.....just stunning!
Thank you David Lynch!
I totally agree with you!

I was 18 and at the university too...the feelings are the same. ditto.

Do you remember alt.tv.twin-peaks?
We used to have Twin Peaks viewing parties and we all kept elaborate notes during Season 1, trying to discover who killed Laura Palmer. I was convinced it was Ben Horne, deadly convinced, and I was dead wrong.
They shot Maddie's death scene 3 times to avoid any chance of it leaking out before the show aired ( Ben, Leland, and of course Bob ).
Ughh, looks like I'll have to go back later and watch just the Cooper awakening scene...once I can find something else to watch on Stan (Aussie streaming provider with a Showtime deal) to justify another month of a subscription...and burn out the rest of the rage I feel over this travesty of a season. Maybe if Kyle gets an Emmy (or at least a nom) next year, it'll help soften my disgust enough to go back to viewing a little section of this. ATM, even mentally engaged Cooper and Julie Cruise can't drag me back into watching and put away my pitchfork in regard to Lynch.
This show changed my life, and im so glad to see it back.
This has been the best episode by far, and i was so dissapointed during that song at the road house thinking david lynch was a tease, but damn that ending.
Im glad this forum exists too, i just signed up but i have been reading every thread every sunday, you guys have some interesting thoughts here.

You're so cute I just wanna hug you. Need a hug don't ya?
I am speechless! I don't even know what to say, how to start, so many things to discuss and to appreciate. I think I will just like the comments I agree with:) Mr Lynch, Mr Frost - you are geniuses! And Thank you for that!
It's not just a tv series to watch, to relax, to forget, No never! It's part of out lives. Joining this ride means we have to stay, there's no turning back. And I couldn't be more pleased.
TPTR has surpassed my expectations in every way. And last night, damn, I was a weepy mess. "I AM the FBI" just wrecked me. I'm devastated that this is ending but so grateful that we got to go back to into the amazing of TP one last time. THANK YOU SHOWTIME!
