Around the dinner table, the conversation was lively. Thank you but for now, the forum has been archived.
The only thing about this episode that felt a little bit cheesy was Tammy's reaction (or acceptance if you will) to this whole tulpa thing. If I had been in her position, I would have been completely shocked to what I just witnessed.
Her reaction just came across as a bit lame and... How do one put it? Easily done by the director? Or maybe that's just me.
She has been played that way thru the season.... I don't feel like we will ever see an emotional response from Tammy.
She is portrayed as a sceptic in the Secret History, and once convinced of something she does so based upon the facts and evidence. She was already introduced to the idea of a tulpa from a reliable source, so I find it reasonable that she isn't all that surprised.
Funny enough, I didn't mind Tammy this episode. I thought her facial reactions to Diane's story were empathetic. If she's supposed to be an FBI officer trained in emotional dispassion she could be that calm.
I'd have liked to see a bit of the playful Tammy we get in the secret history in the show but I doubt it will happen
She seemed really surprised at the Diane/tulpa reveal. We finally got a big emotional reaction from Tammy!
I think I'm one of the very few who really likes Tammy Preston.. I actually see her as very much a "next generation Dale Cooper." She's super intelligent, very quirky and weird, definitely a "Girl Scout" vibe, and absolutely gorgeous. Sounds like how some fans would have described Cooper 25 years ago, right?
Dear Henry Steiger:
Oh Dear Lord, there IS no female equivalent to Dale Cooper. Come to think of it, there is no male equivalent, either. There is only one Dale Cooper in the universe. Well, two. But EvilCoop can't hold a candle.

Neither can the old Dougie, but the new Dougie . . .
I haven't figured out if I hate Tammy or Chrysta.
Either way, I notice she was wearing a whole lot less makeup and no suit jacket and or revealing shirt. She almost looked haggard.....for Tammy.
He response kind of reminded me of something from Bill and Ted's excellent adventure.

"That's Mark Frost's vision of Twin Peaks." - David Lynch responding to being asked if the book ties in to the new show. They co-wrote the script, so there were ideas they agreed on for the show.

It's just you ( & maybe her hate-club ).

Lol, Hi Brandy, fancy meeting you here!
I was about to say I was surprised at the whole range of expressions & responses attributed to Tammy in her short appearance in this episode... 🙂
Though, I must admit I'm a big fan of Bill & Ted! My partner works for the Scottish Government, in an advisory role for transport. He's recently decided that philosophy is the way forward. He has also decided that the Bill & Ted pronunciation of Socrates is the way to go...

This ^^. Except the hate part; don't have that.
Y'all can disapprove; I'm in nobody's hate club. I don't know anything about Chrysta, but I know cardboard acting when I see it. Each appearance just looks like she's making another attempt at finding a knack or trying to remember what that great tip was in ch. 2 of New Actors Primer was. This time it was that haggard look--something new...a breakthrough??
Every time her scene comes up I hold my breath in hope for her sake. Maybe she should take up smoking. Man, I hope Laura Dern isn't gone for good.
Did anyone notice that Tammy briefly vanished when Albert started shooting?
