Around the dinner table, the conversation was lively. Thank you but for now, the forum has been archived.
Well tonight ticked a lot of boxes on people's predictions for the show i.e. bad Cooper had raped Diane, bad Cooper being Richards father, Audrey stuck somewhere she wanted out from.
Well done to all on here
Lol - I don't think anything's worked out the way I predicted - but it's not exactly 'told you so' stuff, is it?
I wonder how much of the 'in-between-story' we'll ever know?
I've got nothing right. The three I mentioned I thought would never be true.
After tonight's developments, I find myself wondering if in the finale Cole could reveal that Cooper is his tulpa.
Cole's apparent connection to Cooper across the miles as Coop was waking up- and his prescience in knowing that Diane was at the door, among other things - make me wonder if long ago (maybr early in the Blue Rose days?) he learned those skills.
This also kind of opens up the possibility of a worldview where "kindred spirits" may actually be related on a deeper level – maybe conjured from the same source – orgrown from the same "seeds"
Or not. ?
I'll predict (knowing how unlikely any prediction will prove out) that Cooper returns to Janey E and Sonny Jim, to take over the hapless FBI Las Vegas outfit.

I think the newly (and better, since it will be made out of good Dale ) made Dougie will return to Janey-e and SJ.
The Blue Rose will not end with this story. And Dale will be on the case.
Cooper's drive north from Spokane will take him past the Twin Peaks sign that everyone's been expecting to see.
I think we'll acutally see the Twin Peaks sign as Bad Coop drives into town as a payoff to all those dark driving scenes.
I'll predict that we'll see more of Sheriff Truman, Hawk, and other TP law enforcement folks (so overwhelmed with the last episode that only just realised they were totally absent from it!).
I predict that episode 18 will end with Cooper asking "How's Annie?", just like the end of season 2.
And I predict that we won't find out why Ruth Davenport was killed or her importance to the story. Nor will we get an answer to HOW her head and Major Briggs' body ended up in her bed.
I predict confrontations between parents and children.
I don't think we'll get resolution to a lot of the little questions, because they ultimately aren't important or integral to the story.
I only have hopes and zero predictions. Here are my hopes:
1) Annie's fate is addressed.
2) Laura's spirit is key to solving this mystery.
3) Cooper and Cole meet again face-to-face.
4) An entire new mystery is set up in the final scene - in a way that is as shocking and disappointing as the end of the original series.
When Coop returns to Janey-E and Sonny-Jim, will he officially take the name Dougie Jones? Or will they become Coopers? Will he still work for the Bureau or will he want a quiter, simpler life working for Lucky 7 Insurance?
I have a crazy sounding prediction. We find out in the end that Gordon Cole was always the doppelganger/tupla...
