Naido backwards is oDian (very close to Diane)

I'm with you on this but still can't explain why she would be the only tulpa that didn't look like the original.

My only guess is she was disguised and stopped from talking/seeing by MrC to fool the good guys.

Any thoughts?

I believe so but who knows?  Another suggestion is that Diane is somehow trapped in Coop's dictation machine.  Perhaps putting Naido and the machine together releases Diane.  Like a trojan that's inactive until it receives a specific string of code.  Maybe a phrase from the machine triggers a change, or something.  That could be what she's trying to ask for.

I can imagine the scene, if she could speak:

"Hoy, you there, dingbat!  Get me a dictaphone!"

Andy replies, "No, lady, you're supposed to use a finger."

I'll get me coat.

Oh, just a minute...

What if...  what if Diane's identity is split up between several people?  Candie and Naido, for example?  Naido has a lot to say but can't, Candie obviously can speak but often doesn't and even when she does, it's usually "Hello flowers, hello trees, what's this thing round me leg?" sort of stuff.

Put the two of them together... One fully reconstituted Diane.

I am feeling very enthused about the Candie=Diane's daughter (via Mr. C's rape of her), birth name, Linda (before she went to the orphanage where she came to the attention of the brothers...
