I think that's the smile that the smily face ":-)" referred to. What do you think ?

Re-working what Mike said in original TP:

"He is Bob in a doppelganger, eager for fun.

If he wears a smile,

everybody RUN"

He does "smile" once, and it's hideous.

Well, I SUPPOSE you could call that a smile. How do it make you feel? Makes me wanna crawl right out of my skin.

Good exampl eof Mr. C trying, and utterly failing, to act human, or more specifically, like Dale.

This is why I am incredulous about Mr. C showing up in TP in Dale drag. I don't think he is able!

But yeah, my thesis is again disproven. But yoiks, one of the most chilling moments in the series for me. And right before bedtime, thanks a lot.

I wasn't trying to disprove your thesis, I agree with it. It's a pathetic attempt to smile, and when I see speculation about KM's chances for an Emmy, I think of this scene.

And I agree it's doubtful Mr. C will attempt to impersonate Coop. Even if he could, I don't think he'd bother.

I wonder why he was so bad at this impersonation. He acts more "human" (although unemotional) everywhere else.

Maybe because as Coop's doppelganger, he's 180 degrees different from the original and it's too wide a gulf to span?
