Around the dinner table, the conversation was lively. Thank you but for now, the forum has been archived.
Can we just talk about how great it was that they asked for the full story and Belushi stops the story to get his Bloody Mary? And then he is so happy to have it. Loved it.
He was still bossy, commanding and disrepectful to Candie when asking for the Bloody Mary. The joy of traveling with Dougie doesn't translate to better treatment of the "girls". It would be great to learn more about the stories of Candie/Mandie/Sandie and their relationship with the Mitchums.
Could there be a clue in the following? Coop: "I am witness to the fact that you both have hearts of gold." Candie: "They do. They really do." Probably not.
Agreed as to his treatment of Candie. Of the things I hope we spend our dwindling screen time on, however, the brothers' backstory is not high on my list.
I AM feeling quite fond of the thought that Candie is Diane's daughter by Nr. C, aka Linda.
Some time ago, during an interview Jim Belushi addressed a "party scene":
"There's a party scene and it was kind of hectic, and in the middle of the noise, I threw out a line. ... We cut and then (co-creator) David (Lynch) on his little megaphone goes, 'Mr. Belushi?' I said, 'Yes, sir?' And he goes, 'Do I need to bring you to the principal's office?' I said, 'No, sir.'"
(David Lynch is lovely, by the way! 🙂 )
Do you think we already witnessed that scene? My first thought was the Conga Line scene inside the Lucky 7 Insurance company but would you describe it as a party scene? I personally wouldn't so maybe we'll get something like a final party, Inland Empire style? (Hope Ben Harper will be there too! 🙂 )

One thing in our favor for the last two hours: when Lynch/Frost have decided to answer a mystery, they've often done so quickly and efficiently.

I wonder if the backstory is that Candie, Mandie, and Sandie were orphans at the orphange with the Mitchums and when they got "successful," they gave the gals work and security. It would explain the mutual affection. The guys are dickish of course, but it seems like Dougie brought out something "gold" in them that Candie knew about all along. Good as gold, right? I think it might be a simpler story than some of us would like about now. And I'm a feminist, so very aware of patriarchal crap detection, but I want to let this slide because it is a bit of lightheartedness in a brutal world of the show.
The tulpas were made of gold. I keep thinking everyone in Vegas is manufactured. They all act like characters.
i definitely think the brothers and and least Candie is not Mandie and Sandie have a role in what we have to look forward too. Whether that role is as pivotal as Candie being Linda or not I can't wait to see it all play out!

How very Vegas!
Still think she is "Annie". Because while we've talked about not talking about Judy, we haven't figured out how Annie is.
I've guessed that Candie = Laura = Judy = Annie.
Someone else suggested Sandie and Mandie are the two angels we saw in FWWM and Andy's vision.
If so, I think this would be our "two birds one stone" reference. Sandie/Mandie are the two birds - wings and all. Maybe Laura/Candie is the "stone" who will eliminate Bob like the stone/rock vaporized Richard.
