There seemed somethng so approporiate about seeing them standing there, where Dougie's story really started. The "goodbye" to his "helllooooooo".
There's also a strange bit where a green beetle on a slot machine comes into view then retreats. It might just be the machine going through the motions, but is quite distracting...
Woah, check out this bit of parallel structure: Cooper helped the poor old woman--and reunited her with her son! Many of us have wondered about parallels between the 119 woman and Janey-E. Ive been thinking the owl flying over head right before we meet Janey-E means something "supernatural." Maybe things were much worse in the Jones household--more like the 119 household--before Cooper and that Owl showed up. Just like how the good karma of Cooper could turn around the old gambling woman's life, Cooper turned around Janey-E's???
its just a bunch of parallels. No meaning necessarily, except that Dale Cooper is all of history's paragon of goodness.
I knew Janey-E was the woman for Coop!
Me too.

Hellloooo?
You're onto something. Janey-E was married to a tulpa. How good was that going to end?

Yeah, a tulpa who slept around and got the family indebted to mobsters. That's kind of a 911 situation. And whatever is the number for child protective services.

Don't forget about slacker at the office and general unkemptness. And the beergut? Unbecoming. Janey-E deserved better.

Saw this, too. Scarab-ish. It fades before the camera fades. Thought it might look a bit like the owl symbol on the ring.
Sonny Jim in his garmonbozia colored sweatshirt. Reminds you quite a bit of the original Dougie Jones outfit.
Coop getting a family is his "prize"
Creating a new Dougie Jones for Janey-E & Sonny Jim on the surface seems a sweet thing to do, but it's an odd decision. Cooper told them that he loves them and said to Sonny Jim "I am your father", it was clearly the truth. This was a really beautiful scene. Why then would he choose to give his new family a manufactured copy of himself instead of returning to them? Could it be that the new Dougie will instead be used as a pawn in the removal of Mr C? Or is there somewhere else he has decided he must go?
The scarab is a symbol of rebirth.

I think Dale knows that the quiet family life behind the red door is not his fate. He seemed pretty broken up about not being able to have that, but also quite clear about it.
Regarding the beetle/scarab/roach: Cole has Kafka on his wall, another insurance salesman, and Gregor Samsa was certainly not himself.
