I just don't see how everything can be tied up?  I'm happy with more of the same - as the things 'tied up' so far have just raised more questions!

Wouldn't it be something if Coop and Mr. C, both dressed smartly in Black Suits, fight and struggle near Glastonbury Grove, and one falls back into the Lodge, but we don't know which one?

Hopefully one gets some scratches on his face so we can tell the difference.

And maybe some eyeliner.

Image result for good kirk vs evil kirk the enemy within

Do the black irises count?

I am so relieved to hear that Frost informs that the Final Dossier backfills Diane's, Evil Coop's, and Jeffries' stories.  I was really worried that it would be used to tie up loose ends for Season 3, and I thought that would be the absolute worst way (despite had very good the Secret History was) to resolve anything that was acted by our beloved cast.

I was very pessimistic about the chance for a Season 4, but apparently the US is one of the smallest markets for Twin Peaks.  Their market share in other countries seems to be much larger.  So it may make better financial sense when the world market is taken into account.  Cross your fingers and toes, say your prayers, and WRITE TO SHOWTIME EXECS!!!!

I vote for cliffhanger. Closure, especially in a story this complex, could never satisfy.

There has been closure on many of the plot points in the Return and they've been great.

People act like Lynch is so formulaic...he can't have closure or he can't answer questions...but he absolutely can.  Lynch does what he wants and what you don't expect so maybe closure is the "Lynchian" thing to do.

I do imagine him reading these things & saying "f*ck that!"  Just after deciding that David Bowie was lacking something in his career by not being a teapot...

I actually have hope for closure (which I didn't before tonight).

The fact that it's being telegraphed that Cooper may create another Dougie Jones for Janey-E and Sonny Jim makes me think we might actually get closure elsewhere.

He told Janey that he'd be back soon and they'd be a happy family. Looks like the reason he requested another be made from his DNA. Janey clearly grasped he wasn't Dougie when thanking him.

Remember what David Bowie said about working with Lynch. Something to the effect that David was like a 14-year-old boy who had been given license to rearrange the world. Reinventing Bowie's character as a "teapot" was a great way of proving the point!

I'm going to go out on a limb and say bowie being on the brink of death is why lynch made him into a teapot.

Still not sure how I feel about it, but brilliant doesn't come to mind.
