Around the dinner table, the conversation was lively. Thank you but for now, the forum has been archived.
Great line at the perfect moment.
Loved it.... perfection! I actually applauded out loud...

Me too! I was so happy to see how alert he was.
Iconic.
It was great just to see MacLachlan step back into those shoes (although it wasn't the shoes, LOL) and bring that character back to life. And that was one in-command and on-the-job Dale Cooper! KM has done a remarkable job with this season.
I also really liked how Janey-E quickly understood that (although obviously not how) this was someone different than her Dougie. It was like she could convince herself that Dale was Dougie when Dale's inner light was dimmed, but Dale Cooper in his full glory just shone too bright for any other possibility to exist.
I was really impressed at that. I was one of the people who was a bit wary of 'Cooper coming back' - but I think it was judged to perfection. Definitely older & wiser & with a shitload of guilt to be heaped on him 'cos of his alter-ego - but I loved the scenes explaining to Sonny Jim.
Kyle MacLachlan has been really fantastic in this - the nuances he's shown in the different characters have been an eye-opener.

Me three!
- Was so giddy during that entire sequence, and he seems to know quite a bit and have a plan.
- It was very very strange to see all the characters commenting on how talkative he was, when it seemed like they had all been oblivious to dougies strange actions.
That line indicated he was right back to business. You could tell he had a plan already in his head to make another Dougie Jones to take care of the family. He remembered everything. He was thinking and aware the entire time. Should've given Janey E a little wink for the ride.
I loved it! I really did... but, to me, the best Dale/Dougie moment was the "Damn Good" line in part 11. It made me shiver!
I would have cried if I haven't been watching the episode at work (shh, don't tell my boss :))!
So beautiful, so Cooper.
This was totally earned Frost and Lynch held out as long as possible. And tv never felt so good than that moment. I was full of joy.
BUT, did anyone else feel strange to see real Cooper again! Remember we haven't seen real Cooper since midway through the season 2 finale. All we got since then was black lodge Coop who is silent and confused and then Dougie.
I grew so used to Dougie and Mr C that I forgot how Dale acts and it felt weird to see him. When I imagined Coop back I somehow saw the Cooper from 25 years ago. I couldn't even imagine Kyle now acting like Dale.
Frost and Lynch, well done. Turned me on my head. Heart was racing for over an hour after the show ended.
All we need now is for Major Briggs and Harry Truman to appear and we can all have a jolly good barn dance to celebrate.
