Someone else thinks that after seeing Laura in his hotel room Gordon seems more sensitive, with an improved perception?
After seeing her he saw the vortex in the sky, had the dream with Monica and in last episode he just felt Diane was outside the door.
He also spent some time listening to the FBI equipment beeping which I think links to some kind of communication with Dale.

I think he machines are monitoring Diane and her communications.
