After seeing someone speculate that Naido could be the real Diane after being taken to the Black Lodge I noticed that those two names have four out of five letters in common. N-A-I-D and D-I-A-N. In fact the common letters are in the same sequence but reversed. That didn't seem relevant enough to warrant an entire post, but I just noticed that the name Linda also is an 80% match for BOTH names. I-N-D-A. So we have three names of three very mysterious characters that all have the same four letters in their brief five-letter names. What's it mean? No idea!

EDIT: Just wanted to also point out that the letters that those names don't have in common are (L)inda, dian(E), and naid(O). L-E-O.

And that Candie also contains the A/D/I/N as well as the E from Diane meaning her name has the entirety of Diane's within it.

I believe Janney E is somehow related to this.

I don't know why I think that.

i remember Diane saying she had an estranged cousin named Janney E.

Good point. That odd "-E" in Janey's name might be pointing out letters in names as being significant.

While we're on the subject of names...I apologise if this has been raised elsewhere, but a friend also pointed something on this topic I hadn't caughtI hadn't caught.

Candie is (Mr) C and DIANE combined...could she be another rape-related love child?

Diane says Janey-E is her estranged sister. I assume the E is for Evans which is Diane's last name and would then be Janey's maiden name.

If so, to what end?

Do we assume Diane is the type of person who would abandon her child to an orphanage rather than pursue a formal adoption?

Honestly I don't buy all this overdoing the name Janey-E. What about Sonny Jim, another weird name? Son of Jim (James)?

Well, not at all weird if he was born in the South or named by a traditional southern family.  Must be millions of Sonny Jim's below Mason-Dixon.

Or, affectionate family nickname.

Sorry, admin, to be OT.

@chloeheartsowls, LOVE your avatar.  Are you Teresa Banks?  Teresa Banks tulpa?

Agree with your deduction, btw.

To me it seems obvious that Candie is Linda and is the daughter of Diane and Mr C and as she is going to Twin Peaks she could be going to that same stone/rock where Richard went.  Also Diane, Linda and Naido can create the name Andi so whether that is a connection with Andy Brennam.  Maybe Linda stands for Andy and Lucy.

Don't know to what end.  Is Diane that type?  Doesn't strike the most motherly of poses.  I'd peg her for abortion clinic first.

Sorry, I didn't know "Sonny Jim" was popular in Southern United States. So, Janey-E is the only weird name in the family.

Haha. Maybe I am...or I just dressed as Teresa for the costume contest at TP Fest this year. 😉

Not the real Diane, no, we can't assume or deduce that from the information we have, but where is she? The one we have seen was a tulpa, and so presumably is not the 'real' mother. If we subscribe to the diane/naido theory, then she has hardly been in the best place to raise a child, but how Candie got to the orphanage, I have nothing to offer.

While we're playing the letter game though, the group of 4 would then split nicely into two pairs which have a connection, if Diane is Naido, and her daughter, Linda is Candie.

Somebody elsewhere has already pointed out that the remaining letters leave COLE, but I have no theory to connect that to either I  afraid. It just seems too deliberate to ignore, which of course could mean it is a red herring.

Not in her right mind, but maybe she wasn't competent for a time after the rape/pregnancy.
