My guess would be that Laura was on birth control since she had multiple sexual partners, including "clients."
I don't know if this has been discussed before, sorry if it has, but I tend to read the young girl/mothfrog scene as a rape scene. Is that valid? And if so, could it be BOB raping Sarah? Or could it be someone raping Sarah siring BOB? That way Sarah would be BOB's mother.
