Around the dinner table, the conversation was lively. Thank you but for now, the forum has been archived.
When Cooper finally woke up, I imagined thousands of people around the world all cheering! I gave my own private applause and cheer.
Anyway, best episode yet, definitely. I was gripped from beginning to end. Everything so far has been worthwhile just for this. Everything has been leading to this.
The final double episode is going to BLOW OUR PANTS OFF!
Best episode in the entire season so far, definitely. I just hope so much the finale will be just as good!
In terms of fan service and bringing us full circle back to the original Twin Peaks I agree.
But in terms of sheer audacity and stretching the limits of the television form, it's going to be pretty hard to top Episode 8.
You're right, nothing can top Part 8 for sheer insanity and mind-blowningness.
YES!!! Amazing! I'm speechless.

I privately hope there is one more "pure heroin Lynch" episode left to come, though I expect 8 is the only dose being given. I will learn to move onward, but it will take some therapy.
The withdrawal is going to suck.

I have to imagine there is going to be some episode 8 style pure chaos in the final 2 episodes.
Best Episode Ever is reserved for Episode 8. That was the best episode of any TV show, movie or other visual presentation ever. IMO, of course. 😉
This one, however, came a very close second.
I don't think anyone figured how Chantal and Hutch would come to an end and it was superbly well done. Horrible to say but I couldn't stop laughing through that scene. It was a comedic inversion of Bonnie and Clyde.
The Mitchums were superb and it was great to see them come through when they were needed most.
Audrey's reveal at the end was something many of us half expected, but not quite that, I guess.
Diane's reveal was awesome, particularly how she handled it in the Red Room. A fighter to the end.
This one seemed to be the most linear in the whole series but it seemed like everyone concerned pulled out all the stops.
I loved it! Great to see Dale back.
I'm so glad that Hutch and Chantelle got bumped off by some random guy (?). I think a showdown with those two and the FBI would've been slow and boring.
Also, my partner cried when Coop returned. I didn't shed a tear, but there was definitely some type of fist pump going on!

i agree as in, 8 was best for visuals and mystique and such (is that a word?) This one was best for fast linear plot confirming (AND destroying the many theories of us the viewers)
Best quote "I move car..."
No, best quote:
"I am the FBI!"
After we all got hyped/excited/satisfied/in tears after Cooper awakening and in action again we saw Roadhouse. Probably most of us were "whaaat? No not yet!" Then, as expected, we see Eddie fucking Vedder, song's lyrics matching perfect btw and theeeen... it's not over yet! The greatest (and saddest) Audrey's quasi reveal I could imagine. Her (too dreamy) music and dancing just like in her young years. So many wasted time, ruined maternity, broken sanity. I see now Audrey as the most tragic character in Twin Peaks 25 years later 🙁
But yes, I agree, the best episode ever, together with Part 8. They're just totally different, blowing differents areas of our minds. And Lynch is genius in both of these fields.

I liked the end of Chantel and Hutch--it was as ridiculous as they were.
