Around the dinner table, the conversation was lively. Thank you but for now, the forum has been archived.
I'm hoping you stay alive and well not just for this weekend, but for many years to come, MJ.
That being said, it is probably good to stay a tad cautious about this finale. For one, I've seen too many finales over the years that don't live up to the hype. Also, this is a Lynch/Frost joint, and... well... caveat emptor.
"caveat emptor."
Clean out your cave?
Fish eggs to the king?
I'm dead good at Latin, me. Carpe Diem = God is a fish.
Easy!
When you said "Lynch/Frost joint," my mind went to a visual of a very large blunt. Forgive me, please.
Can we all have a quick check in.
Is everyone still on this plane?
God I'm so bloody excited. I had a dream last night that the first scene was Mr C driving a jeep straight into the Dutchman's, right into the Jeffries teapot.
I'm not even joking.
I'm thinking of my husband's friend, Warren. He loved Twin Peaks from the beginning. After watching an episode that ended with an extremely creepy Bob shot, 10 seconds after, our phone rang. It was Warren screaming, "I can't stand that man! I don't care if that actor plays Jesus Christ, I will be scared of him!" Warren died two years after TP ended. He would've been amazed by this.
My wife died in July of 2016 and we had such grand plans for our TPTR viewing experience, so I can definitely relate. She was terrified of Bob as well, and would've loved what this season has turned out to be.
Caoimhin, I will be thnking of your wife as I watch, and all our other loved ones who did not get to make this journey with us.
Just made it back from an overnight driving trip, 2+ hours each way through holiday traffic, with the airbag light on. So far so good.
Livin on the edge there MJ. Maybe just buckle down, lock your doors, turn out the lights, extinguish all flames, cut the electricity cuz you may have spent all your luck points on that drive.
Oh and absolutely NO forks near outlets!
In fact, maybe just send all your utensils and cutlery over to a neighbors house until late Sunday night.

Sincere condolences, mate.
Thank you, all. This forum has enhanced my viewing experience greatly and aided in my recoveries. Now let's hope that we all make to and beyond the viewing of the finale so we can all meet back here and try to figure out what the heck we just watched!

How am I supposed to drive to work now? You've got me so paranoid of being in my house let alone wanting to leave it. ?

Jeesh, risky. I hope you don't work around any heavy machinery or explosives.
An deepest condolences regarding your wife. I'm glad that this forum has been therapeutic for you. I bet she is watching this forum from the giant screen in the white lodge and chuckling because she knows how the show ends.

I'm so sorry to hear this. I hope you feel her presence while you watch TPTR. It must be a bittersweet experience for you. Please accept my belated condolences.
CS, I hope that your wife in some way is with with you...
For those who get zapped into golden balls, fizzle in static and smoke, have their necks bitten out by whatever-is-behind-Sarah's face, get snatched upwards, or some more ordinary form of "passing on"and decide come back to haunt us in golden orbs or whatever, you are welcome to my fridge. And anyone else who just fancies dropping by a small Central American country for the finale...
cervisia pro omnibus
(specially with SXT in mind... will have to be Basque beer, though, as it's the cheapest drinkable stuff - local brews are gnats' pee and the only thing calling itself Guinness is that fake export rubbish)
My friend made me a red room scarf complete with the floor design and the red curtain too. I went crazy! I plan to wear it tonight while enjoying a marguerita and the season finale! Yesiree. It's happening!
Hehe.
Funny thing is, I keep thinking of my Dad. He would have enjoyed The Return immensely. Somehow, I don't think he's too bothered about it now.
Anyhow, stay safe, MJ.
Mine too. He loved the show. Think about this - if they are both "cognizant" wherever they are . . . They already know the ending! 🙂
I'm going to be eyeballing the Showtime website starting around 6:30 to grab it the minute it's up. Also trying to figure out what Snacks to make. Do you ever worry that eating/drinking will distract you from a small important detail on the screen?
