Did she say she was waiting for someone? Or maybe someone to return..
margaret reincarnated?
I was thinking this was another victim of the designer drugs.
In fact, I believe she is not credited.
I looked and I did not see anything in the credits. I was looking for "Linda".
Me too, because she apparently wasn't able to walk...
Ruby is the one, though...
Yep, Charlene Yi - House, Knocked-up, Love. Not a major Hollywood bullshit player but recognisabale actress, I was waiting for her.
But Ruby? Really? I was watching credits carefully cause I was convinced that we finally met Linda. She couldn't walk and didn't have a wheelchair.
And you have to admit that scene was also emotional especially when being fragile after experiencing Log Lady farewell...:(
The way she was treated in the Roadhouse... People are disgusting pigs (no offence for actual pigs).
I thought that she represented the frustration of a lady that had been bullied out of her sitting area and was helpless in of that. It sounds simple but it represents some very strong 'survival of the fittest' horrible mentality that still manifests in today's age.
Her scream reminded me of Jody and Bob in season 2.
Wasn't it kind of similar to Cooper's crawl to the socket earlier? Maybe this means that what's happening in the roadhouse is connected to Dale's situation?
Great observation! Audrey's too.
The interesting thing about her is that she's very young looking, almost child-like, and says she's waiting for someone. Two strange men then pick her up and force her out of the way, and she then freaks out.
While this is happening, a band on stage is playing a song called "Axolotl". Axolotl are known for both their ability to assist with regrowing limbs (the arm?) and the fact that they demonstrate neotony.
And her name is Ruby (cue more Judy Garland/Wizard of Oz hot takes) and she's crawling on the floor as if she's trying to navigate her way through a confusing maze or path.
Did she say she was waiting for someone? Or maybe someone to return..
Meeting someone.
I was worried for her, I thought it was The Revenge of the Truckers. The guys were certainly rude towards her, but seeing her just plopped down on the floor without another glance was a bit anticlimactic. I'd have found it funny, if she hadn't been so clearly in distress.
I kind of feel like her scream was an expression of building ambient dread. Remember in the original series, there were various random occurrences that just seemed to send the message that Something Bad was about to happen in TP? Forces are gathering in the woods.
After that scene, I said to my bestie, "I feel that way... a lot of the time."
Being treated that way by people sucks.
My first thought was that this girl symbolized us, the audience.... screaming about what the hell is going on with this show. A tongue-in-cheek Lynch/Frost moment. Similar when Cole spoke to all of us while watching the video about the New York thing... What the Hell?
