In my opinion the "Las Vegas?" text is the same read by Diane in Part 12 and it was a clue to help us figure out the correct chronological development of the story. This would mean that, from a certain point on, we've been watching two storylines (Gordon's and Mr. C's) which seemed parallel but are in fact consequential (Mr.C's first and Gordon's after). To support this I've been looking (with little luck) for time references, which I've listed in the following topic:

Kind of like how, after Andy's disappearence, we see Hark, Truman and Bobby seeming out of phase, and catching up to themselves, I think this is what is happening with time gaps. We are heading towards a conjuction, and we are catching up.
I'm starting to like the little inclinations of uncertainty in Bad Cooper. Seems like he's becoming less certain as Dougiecoop gains autonomy. With the fork incident, no matter what happens next, Dougiecoop has proven that he's the braver of the two.
I don't get that.
Doogie coop is child-like impulsive, curiously poking that wall-outlet where funny noises come from... no bravery (It may help him tho.)
I completely misunderstood this text to be a request for directions to Vegas. I guess I am unfamiliar with that phone. I believed that Mister C was on his way to Vegas too. Makes sense that he might skip Vegas and go on to the big location - Twin Peaks.

You thought he was child like when messing with the outlet? No way. The moment he hears Gordon Coles name you see a change in his face and demeanor. His movements were very deliberate ... not curious... he was trying to retrace his steps to get out of there.

I know I'm getting a bit stuck on this - but turning the fork round to use the handle was not simple behaviour. If DougieCoop hadn't changed with the Gordon Cole reference, he may have had a couple of goes at poking the socket with the fork, but not the processing to turn it round. That was a big thing.
