Of all the mysteries and wtf moments, I keep coming back to SJ. Since his dad is some type of artificial creature, what does that make him? I'm beginning to worry (because this is getting into crappy St Elsewhere territory) that the finale will reveal this to all be SJ's escapist fantasy.
There is a theory that Janey E and SJ were manufactured for Dougie and that the real Janey E is the 119 woman. Her drug dependence is the reason why she's estranged from Diane.
I am not sold on this theory - heck I'm not even sure Diane is telling the truth they're siblings - but the main idea behind this - there are multiple timelines/realities/parallels in TP that will converge - is interesting.
