Of all the mysteries and wtf moments, I keep coming back to SJ. Since his dad is some type of artificial creature, what does that make him? I'm beginning to worry (because this is getting into crappy St Elsewhere territory) that the finale will reveal this to all be SJ's escapist fantasy.
I know others have said it too, but I have a hard time thinking Lynch will beat the dead horse of 'it was all just a dream'. He has used that before and somehow it would cheapen the end. I know, I for one would lose some respect for the quality of his work.
I actually worry for SJ. We've already seen that Lynch and Frost aren't afraid to kill off a young innocent.
I think he's completely real however. Dougie may have been fabricated, but he was flesh and bone. It was just his soul (?) that was created. That's how I took it anyway.
Maybe Sonny Jim will be okay. I was thinking that maybe the wrong Dougie Cooper and Janey (plus kids) wrangled by the Las Vegas FBI might be in trouble though!
Funny, that had not even crossed my mind. That would be almost perfect Lynch style. FBI show up at the wrong house along with the killers and boom, Tijuana blood bath at the wrong place completely void of the main focus of either's efforts.
The term "manufactured" hasn't really been defined in the Twin Peaks universe, though. It doesn't seem to mean that Douglas Jones was some sort of android with non-organic parts. My interpretation of it is that he's like a regular person, except made artificially. If that make sense?
I think all of this equipment works correctly (well, obviously), and he likely had all of Cooper's DNA, so Sonny Jim is legit.
The gold bead - I took that to mean he had a soul. If the giant can create souls, then why not other entities?
I'd like to think after he returned to the lodge, he had some afterlife thing going on, rather than complete oblivion.
In 2010 the Sunny Jim peanut butter factory in Seattle burned. I don't know if that means anything.

Think of all the possible answers to the question of SJ. It is not one of them.

Pretty sure that won't happen. Mainly, because nothing is "just" a dream in the show.
If you want to wince, I would worry more about something like a LOST ending than some kid waking up having dreamed the season's events.
At the very least, we will likely see Sonny Jim and Janey E in peril along with Dougie who may or may not be Agent Cooper. That's being set up as a clear possibility. I'm really hoping that SJ will survive. Although I like Janey E, I'd rather lose her than SJ.
For some reason, I can picture Janey-E, Nadine & Sonny Jim getting along famously (perhaps keeping Mr C as a glorified butler...)
Note to nae-sayers: this is purely something floating in my head, not any 'wish' or prediction.
