that Jeffries /Dirty Coop interaction at the beginning.  It made it seem like either Dirty Coop was in the Philadelphia FWWM scene with Bowie.  Or dirty Coop is really our Coop.  Am I interpreting that scene correctly?

In all actuality, think it just reinforces that the doppelgängers have memories of their counterparts ... but it definitely was set up to cause questions

Clearly the ydo have memories. Nothing here to make me think that Mr. C is "the real Dale"...

Jeffries line so you are Cooper is a tough line to interpret but the bad coop is the one that walked out of the black lodge 25 years ago

and dougie shocked the shit out of himself

Agreed .. that line from Jeffries will confuse some people.  But I think it means Jeffries realized Dirty Coop is indeed a doppelgänger

FWIW, one of the many things I loved about that scene is that it included a flickering fluorescent light, reminiscent of one of the first Twin Peaks scenes to ever make make me go "WTF??!?!!!"

It might simply have been that Cooper was not "split" when he and Jeffries met.

I keep thinking there will be some element(s) of reuniting what has been split/divided/etc. in the way the series concludes. Some sort of integrated self metaphor. (And not sure if I anticipate loving or hating that)
