I took the now tv 6 month pre paid card option for £25 on offer. Have watched the original twin peaks, banshee, penny dreadful, the new game of thrones and the new twin peaks so definitely got my money's worth. Won't be renewing it though when twin peaks finishes.
I've just been hunting around on Amazon Prime and as far as I can tell, you can't get CBS All Access through Prime. A shame, because if it were as easy as that I'd have been tempted to subscribe for a few months, long enough to watch the new Star Trek series, at least.
With streaming channels, usually if you unsubscribe you get a month from the date you joined until it ends.
I subscribed to Showtime via Playsation Vue. I've already watched Dexter, Penny Dreadful and Weeds (and can do so via other formats anyway), so Shameless (US version) is the only show that would keep me from cancelling my subscription to Showtime after the Return ends. As far as I'm concerned, I thanked Showtime by subscribing to watch Twin Peaks. If they do not offer compelling program beyond that, it's not my concern. I'll subscribe again once they do.
I subscribed to NowTV - but found it very buggy, so contacted them. I said I'd joined specifically to watch Twin Peaks - and was happy to keep up my membership once it has finished, but I'd like some advice on making their content watchable. Nada!
So I went from streaming & paying NowTv for something I couldn't watch to just streaming. It's daft as I'd rather pay for it - so will send some money to a relevant charity - that covers a multitude...!
So you're the reason ratings are down?! ? Kidding. I stream or download torrents when needed (wanted!).
An aside, I've also read that a lot of fans are waiting to subscribe to Showtime or similar, so they can binge watch the Return. That's fine, but I doubt their experience will be as enriching as the one those of us that complied with the week-to-week format is.
