I don't want "Dumbledore explains it all in the end", but I'd like some result to FBI's and Briggs' hard work and long exposure to the otherworldly forces.
Phillip Jeffries apparently lost his touch with time and reality, became a fixture in a back corner of some ghostly dimension.
Chet Desmond vanished off the earth for simply touching a ring.
As a result of inspecting a small-town murder case, Dale Cooper had 25 years of his life taken from him.
Diane, Gordon and Albert are not completely unaffected either.
I wish the stories of these tortured souls could have some kind of closure.
Primarily for the Brits here...
I fully expect the drunk guy to be revealed as Father Jack, which will be shown by him randomly shouting "Arse!" "Feck!" "Drink!" "Gobshite!" for no discernible reason.
Heeee-lloooo from Buenos Aires, Argentina... Here Paula, a humble South-American Fella reporting for duty. I am wondering about if the placement of the device in Buenos Aires is just Lynch's wit. Since the translation for Buenos Aires in english is Good Air but also it could be "Pure Air"... so is it just he playing with words or it does have true meaning to the plot? I do believe is just him playing with our minds ? but I would enjoy if someone is capable on pointing something clever that my mind could not figure out. Not a theory, I know, but might someone have one about that.
Has Mr. C met Naido?
Not that we know about.
Unless he can access memories from Cooper-who-was-in-space(or whatever)-with-Naido...?
Which I suspect is not the case, but I agree with those who say that Jeffries may not get that there are two coops, so may be referring to good coop. Does Jeffries, from his "prison", know what has happened to Coop?
Strong assumptions would be a better description for me:
- Dougie is no longer Dougie. His body was totally transformed when Coop took the wheel on his life. Dougie is gone, Coop is living Dougie's life, but he is the real Cooper (mind and body).
- Dougie's family will die at the hands of either the evil cops from Vegas or Chuck and Chantal.
- Chuck and Chantal will meet their end before leaving Vegas (either the FBI, local police trio, or Dougie's new gangster friends will see to that).
- Real Cooper is the purpose of the season so his story will receive the nearest to a completion.
- He will come to Twin Peaks and play a major role in removing Evil Coop from our dimension/world.
- Laura's spirit & Cooper will actively engage Sarah Palmer, but the season may end without knowing how this resolves itself. A great cliffhanger.
- No more story about New York or Buckhorn will play out. The relevant elements from this garden have been picked.
- Naido is not going to make it. She will deliver some odd message that will aid the good guys of the world, then die at the hands of someone like Richard who after finding out Chad has been nabbed will need to clean up some loose ends.
- Audrey will be relieved as being unstable. Charlie is a figment of her imagination as the internal battle for sanity continues. A Richard family reunion will occur at some late point in the story. Did I mention 430 will be her room number? Leaning towards Linda being a twin sister to Richard at this point. Linda will be the good to Richard's bad. She will be at her mother's side when Richard arrives. This will be a place the good guys find him.
- Albert is going to sacrifice himself in the last episode. Sacrifice will open the door to defeat Evil Coop.
- Our favorite police department receptionist will be tasked with determining which Coop is the good and which one is bad.
- The series will end with a reveal of the new host for Bob after it is found that he is not in Bad Cooper.
Well that is what I have on top of my head at the moment. Enjoying the recent speed of the series and really not focusing on guessing about the story at this point.
TBH I don't buy any Mr C is real Coop stuff. But who knows...?:) For me it's quite simple canon- Cooper's doppelganger is on the loose for 25 years, Coop was in the Red Room and just before leaving he was reminded about this fact: Do you remember your doppelganger? In that case who would be this strange man taken as Dougie Jones?
My crazy theory is about Audrey. I think she's not in a coma but she may actually be... dead. Hence the humming sound in Great Northern cause her spirit is wandering around and spying on other prople's lives (Billy, Tina etc). Everybody's acting like she's no longer with them, even this agent Cooper's picture mentioned by Richard seems to point that. Like the grieving parents left their late daughter's room the way it was. I doesn't look like there was some Cooper's picture in the Audrey's house or actually like Richard was visiting.
And just like Log Lady said, in the world of Twin Peaks death is not the end, it's just the change.
I have to consider, sadly, that you could be right. About the picture, Richard did say "my mom HAD it", past tense. And Audrey always spied on people from that wall-space.
Still, I don't see why she'd be in the film in such strange scenes if she is just dead. And the humming Ben hears must have a larger role than simply the ghost of Audrey. Whatever is going on with Audrey, I don't think we are going to get it without more help from the series final parts.

Besides we know that Audrey want to go to the Roadhouse, be she "can't".
Still, she is pretty much informed about what's going on in Twin Peaks. Tina, Billy etc.
So my guess is that she may be dead, but not necessary "trapped" in the walls of Great Nothern. Roadhouse would be a better shot, 'cause there is a lot of random talks between various people about Tina/Billy. Plus, Roadhouse has always been some kind of "haunted" place ( or high lodge activity place ). Remember scenes from S02 with people suddenly crying there/ their hands shaking?

Richard spoke in the past tense? Damn, that's food for thought. We need to hear that talk between Mr C. and Richard.
If Audrey died, her spirit may indeed be trapped in the hotel's walls, like Josie's soul ended up in the door knob.
Didn't James trace the source of the hummimg sound after his conversation with Freddie? If he checked it out -as well he should - it didn't seem to bother him much as he went with Freddie to the Roadhouse.
If Audrey is dead and haunting the hotel, how is she sleeping with Billy though?
Another thing: Mr C asked Richard "Who's your mom?" in the present tense. Wouldn't it be more natural for Richard to say "Audrey Horne, she's dead"?

Hard to say. The only thing that seems clear is that no one is currently in touch with her except Charlie. Of course, her scenes cover less than 20 minutes of arguing with him on the same evening. Something, someone has to break this up!
dont mean to be a party spoiler (and trust me, i got plenty of theories, one being quite a bomb) but, shouldn't there be a FINALE THEORIES thread for the theories you are asking, outside the E15 thread? It would also be more practical)
Admin r u listening?
Hi full go,
Here's what you do: Go to any Part (1-15, so far) of this forum that you like, click on the "Add Topic" green box in the upper right-hand corner, then where it says "Type Title Here," you type FINALE THEORIES.
Done!!
And everyone is happy! 😉

I'm down with the Laura is Judy idea. Someone (brilliantly) pointed out the "Vertigo" 'Madeleine turns into Judy' story line which fits here if Judy then turns into Laura (who was identical to cousin Madeleine). So many references to 'Vertigo' in season 1 that it makes sense to come full circle. The parallels between lawmen Dale Cooper and John "Scottie" Ferguson seem to ring true more than ever now that we've glimpsed a darker side of Coop. It didn't end well for Ferguson, let's hope Coop has a softer landing.
Hi Curtis.
And don't forget, Special Agent Dale Cooper's favorite movie was The FBI Story. Starring - yep, you guessed it - Jimmy Stewart. =:-O

I predict at the least some kind of showdown between Laura and Sarah, somehow parallel to the one between Laura and Leland/Bob at the end of FWWM. I base this idea on Laura's appearance to Gordon at the hotel door in Part 10. Gordon had drawn a picture, which we now suspect is related to the Elks bar where Sarah took off her face and killed a guy.
Laura appears to Gordon right after he made the drawing. The scene of Laura comes from FWWM after Laura realizes what her father has done or who he really is. In the scene with Gordon, she is horrified in the same way because she realizes what her mother has done or who she really is. Gordon's drawing points to the place where Sarah's identity becomes clear to Laura, if not completely clear to us.
Has Mr. C met Naido?
I don't think Jeffries has been too good at spotting good/evil Cooper. In the Philadelphia offices he seems to think he's pointing at evilCooper - as though he's been jumping through time so much he doesn't know what's supposed to have happened when.
Hi convo,
One of the things that always intrigued me about that scene was Cooper's reaction to the pointed-finger accusation from the man who would become a tin-machine, steampunk, talking tea kettle.
He immediately swivels his head toward Cole, eyes wide, eyebrows arched - as if to say either "Gordon can't be buying this?" or "Oh no! The jig is up!" =:-O
Hmmm...

I took the FWWM scene a different way. Cooper was still Cooper, but since PJ was now tied to the dimensional lodges, future and past are blurred. PJ was aware of a future where 2 Coopers existed. At that time, it was not clear to him at what point in time he had arrived.
