There are so many threads that it's difficult to read everyone's theories.
As there's only a few episodes left, I thought it might be good for this to be a repository for the latest theories before the next episode.
And as always, the wackier the theory, the better 😉
Here's mine:
"430, time and time again".
I don't know what 430 means. But "time and again" has a lot of meaning.
"Is it future, or is it past?"
After the most recent episode, when Jeffries says "So you are Cooper", it got me thinking about these two quotes.
What if Mr C is actually the real Cooper, but he is the accumulation of many failed attempts to put things right and find the Experiment / symbol that he's looking for. He's turned dark, determined. He's still got BOB in him this time round, too.
Why is there also a Dougie/Coop? Time runs differently in the lodge. The Coop we know may have been expelled from the lodge many times round. There just happens to be several now.
It's worth me saying that when I watched the original series the first time round, I didn't interpret the finale as a doppelganger escaping and the real Coop trapped in the lodge. I saw it that BOB possessed the real Cooper (the double of Coop was actually BOB chasing after Coop's soul). And so, the real Coop emerged, but his soul was taken over by BOB.
If this is the case, there is no physical doppelganger. I know, all of this is a longshot and full of holes. But it's fun to speculate 😀
So, show us yer theories. Get yer theories out on the table!
It's still all about big Ed, love conquers all and he and Norma will defeat the black lodge ??
I'm really coming around to Mr C being the real Cooper who is dark. I'm really having a hard time figuring out if he's been bad to innocent people yet. I really can't remember.
Putting that with an old theory that Dougie's time line isn't real, what if Dougie is playing out inside Cooper/ Mr. C as he is looking for Jeffries.
i imagine it can easily be debunked but once I read some mention how Cooper isn't evil to everyone it got me thinking
I don't have any. Not a one. Seriously, everything so far is either ambiguous or surprising (nobody could have predicted what happened with Sarah) that it's best, IMO, to just watch and wait.
Beyond the basic ideas of Mr C = Bad Cooper = Good and the stuff from Episode 8, plus whatever simple, straightforward stuff like the Mitchums and Bushnell being on "Dougie's" side, and the odd bit of exposition, I ain't got a Scooby.
And you know what? I love it! It's great that, at long last, I can't figure it out long before the cast.
All my theories have died and the confusion grows.
I like the Secret History Explanation that our government did a deal with the greys and we are seeing the ramifications of that deal. It may be the beginning of an invasion even. I suspect How to Serve Man is a book in the library of the black lodge and the recipes all talk about causing maximum, fear, pain and suffering, which is then harvested and fed upon.
dont mean to be a party spoiler (and trust me, i got plenty of theories, one being quite a bomb) but, shouldn't there be a FINALE THEORIES thread for the theories you are asking, outside the E15 thread? It would also be more practical)

Here we go...
Both Diane and Audrey are, in different ways, locked in BOB's cage. Just like Laura, he locked them sexually and they can't escape it.
I'm a little unsure about all of this 'Mr. C is the real / good cooper'. As Annie said, "the good Dale is in the lodge, and he can't leave"...

Agreed. I know I said mine was a theory, but it is far more a thought.
I doubt anyone has had a theory work out. Look at us going Dougie will drink enough coffee and wake up, he'll eat pie, he'll see tall bald man next to A man in a red suit.... nope. Sunset Blvd!
Every reveal feels like Lynch and Frost thought of 100 possibilities for an answer and went with the 101st.

I'm not talking about finale stuff. Just theories in general.
No spoilers here I can assure you. Only theories based from up to EP15. If you haven't seen EP15 this is definitely the wrong place for you.
At this point, I would also like to add that not a single one of my theories have been right.
Nada. Zip. Not a scooby!
So basically, any theory I posit should always - always - be regarded as complete wank ;D

Hehe. Made me laugh, that did. Nice one!
My mind has been over and over many different theories and I expect them all to be wrong. But I'm enjoying this journey and anticipating the final few episodes to be surprising as well as thought provoking. The experience on this forum has been very enlightening too - a very positive internet experience.
For what it's worth, I do think Dougie is Good Cooper. The reasoning is mostly the positive impact he has on everyone he meets as Dougie. But I could see it going in some other way. direction too.
I don't think I have any theories - or they seem to move around constantly... There are some things that people have suggested and seem completely improbable - but with a few intervening bits, they could become quite straightforward.
I think that even when some parts are 'wrapped up', the exact explanation of what or why things happened - or the motivation behind a character's actions will be very much up for debate.
I got a huge Mr. C is the real Coop vibe from the last episode. If this is true Dougie-Coop will be the greatest red-herring in television history. What an amazing show. No TV will ever compare.
I'm sticking with spirit-bubble-Laura residing in Candie. I theorize (actually a guess with little objective clues) that both Candie and Annie hosted the Laura spirit - maybe they were both manufactured hosts since they were both socially awkward suggesting they had no real history.
