Around the dinner table, the conversation was lively. Thank you but for now, the forum has been archived.
Are Lynch & Frost ZZ Top fans or is there another reason for this song being played at volume 11?
My initial thought was it was an allusion to Coop (first verse).
But here are the lyrics:
Clean shirt, new shoes
And I don't know where I am goin' to.
Silk suit, black tie,
I don't need a reason why.
They come runnin' just as fast as they can
Cause every girl crazy 'bout a sharp dressed man.
Gold watch, diamond ring,
I ain't missin' not a single thing.
And cufflinks, stick pin,
When I step out I'm gonna do you in.
They come runnin' just as fast as they can
'Cause every girl crazy 'bout a sharp dressed man.
Top coat, top hat,
And I don't worry coz my wallet's fat.
Black shades, white gloves,
Lookin' sharp lookin' for love.
They come runnin' just as fast as they can
'Cause every girl crazy 'bout a sharp dressed man.
. . . and the volume emphasized the fist/punches disrupting the music (listen to the sounds).
Lynch is friends with Billy Gibbons of ZZTop. Because, of course he is.

Yes, I thought it was a bit of a reminder to what DougieCoop was lacking - the shoes & FBI pin...

Of course. 🙂
second verse a warning from Dale to Mr. C?...
"when I step out I'm gonna do you in"
Nah....but it would be fun to have it all boil down to ZZ Top...who really would make fine Woodsmen.
