A character who defines Twin Peaks is saying goodbye to her fans. RIP Catherine Coulson (aka The Log Lady)

She mentioned "Her log is turning gold"
I see this as a connection to The Fireman (who had gold emanating from his head). Perhaps this is an indication he was once the human who was her husband.

This also means that Hawk's visit to the entrance to The Red Room in episode 1 must have taken place before this point (possibly literally in chronological order).
