Around the dinner table, the conversation was lively. Thank you but for now, the forum has been archived.
The '89 scene was Cooper's dream. Gordon and Albert were in Cooper's dream.
What if we had the answer for all the time? Like, in his name?
JUMPING man.
Jumping would be the switching places of inhabitation. Then both of Sarah/ Philip theories would be right
It means that the jumping man is the phantom inhabiting Sarah Palmer?
She is occupied (have you forgotten how put down she is?) (-;
please, please, please tell me you are quoting jesus christ superstar!
Hello everyone! This is my first post.
What if this is audio captured during the original series spliced in here? Little Michael, as cruel as it seems now, could be Lynch directing Michael J. Anderson (The Man From Another Place) during one of his red room dancing scenes (back and forth). Not sure how this affects anything, but seems like the clearest "Little Michael" back/forth option...
Thoughts?
Welcome to the forums. If it was for health or commitment reasons he couldn't do the show I'd agree with you but since it seemed to be a personal thing I think probably not.

It's quite possible given his absence in the Return and his presence above the Convenience Store in FWWM/the Missing Pieces. Creative way to allude to the original character.

Fair enough. He was being incredibly nasty and disrespectful to David and Jennifer.

Wow just read his comments. WTF?
The '89 scene was Cooper's dream. Gordon and Albert were in Cooper's dream.
I used to think this was ambiguous or unclear.
But this is how it went in Part 14:
Cole: "... listening to Cooper, telling me he was worried about a dream he had."
Cooper: "Gordon, it's 10:10AM on February 16th."
Cooper: "I was worried about the day because of the dream I told you about."
Cole: That was the day Phillip Jeffries appeared. And didn't appear.
...
So, Cooper had related the dream to Cole previously and is referring to it. We don't know what the dream was about, except it had something to do with that date.
I'm now wondering, if the sharp things coming out of Sarah's face were meant to resemble the Jumping Man's nose. That seems a bit silly, though.
Some have speculated that the monkey in FWWM is Jeffries, because the monkey was also "present", behind the mask(!), at that scene above the convenience store. I can't remember if it was in the Missing Pieces only.
Funny, until I started coming here I never put much thought in to the jumping man. After this episode I've been forced to give him more time among my grey matter.
I don't understand what you mean? I am not commenting on whether or not there was negativity between Lynch and The Man From Another Place. Whether or not Michael J. Anderson was involved in the new series, I'm saying that this sounds to me like original audio from Season 1 of Lynch directing Anderson. Help me understand your response.

It's the logistics of the creation. One can't objectively say that it's Michael J. Anderson or Michael T Barile(?) given the limited amount of information/evidence. We can, however, speculate on intent and practicality.
Of course... I'm not suggesting this as a fact -- this is a message board dedicated to theories and analysis. Just intrigued by the idea that "Little Michael" could be Michael J. Anderson.

As am I. Thank you for posting your theory! I found it compelling (if you didn't notice).
