By which I mean, I'll be back after the whole season is out.

There's so much going on, and so much of it is so inconclusive.

It's fun to read all the theories about Diane, Audrey, Chet, Cooper, and especially James, but it's winding up so powerfully now that I just need to see it for myself.

I'm sure y'all understand. When I come back, I'm sure it'll be to a world both wonderful and strange...or some such pretentious nonsense.

(Damn, that ending was pretentious and cheesy, though. Kinda like the resolutions to some original TP plot lines, eh? I should probably go write a superdupernatural soap opera...hmm...)

Can't wait for your Return after the finale!

edit: btw, I understand the want to not have you're viewing experience influenced by the thoughts of others.

Yeah, you'll have to wait some 25 years. And then it'll be barely recognizable, given that I have nothing close to an Agent Cooper to hinge an entire reboot off of, eh?

I've had that thought a few times over the time, so don't tend to read anything for a few days so I can see each part a few times to absorb, and then I get impatient for the next episode and start reading threads again.

See you on the other side! Enjoy it!

I think that 1) this show is so great in part because none of us can predict it. We can try, and that's fun, but I can't recall being right about much except predicting that Michael Cera would play Andy and Lucy's son... Other times close to right, I suppose, but even then the details...

2) I love this forum more for the way y'all pick up on details and the like than anything else. Every week, it seems, someone points out something on here that I didn't notice, or has a way of thinking about something that I didn't. That's why I'm here.

I think almost all of your "theories" are probably wrong. But I enjoy reading them.Predicting what will happen isn't what this is about. There are no gold stars being awarded. I get it, if you don't want to be influenced or whatever. You do you. But I frankly can't imagine doing this thing without talking to people.

I started out just talking to a friend or too, then I started engaging with this forum, then I started doing this podcast... I am deep in it, and enjoying all of this conversation. It makes me really thankful that they released it week by week.

So, again, do as you please. Cool. But I also love this forum and don't see it tainting anything.

"Hell God baby damn no!"

Edit: should say "our theories" not "your"

I personally don't know where I would be without the forum. Not so much the predictions (which are amazing to read) but the way others are able to pinpoint details I missed and could never have thought of catching.

Yes indeed, you do you. We all do. However I would never forsake my TP brethren who have added a level of watching enlightenment that I could never have asked for.......and certainly never expected.

Basically what I was trying to say. Y'all are great and thank you.

Yes. This forum is a gift as far as I'm concerned and has enriched my viewing experience greatly. And, it has been so much fun reading so many thoughts/different perspectives and conversing with everyone in here.

Being part of this forum is part of the magic of the show IMO - to be able to discuss and articulate to other TP fans how the episodes have made me feel and what each episode means to others. For me, it's such a subjective show that reading others opinions and ideas helps considerably.
