...when an hour of Game of Thrones seems SO LONG?
RIGHT?!?!?!
I spend a lot of the episode unfortunately looking at the clock thinking, okay, we've got 2o minutes left, 10 minutes left, 5 minutes left. ARGH!
Because you're active and your brain is in overdrive.

Yep. I'm late! Im late! I'm late; for a very important date!

That gut-wrenching feeling when you see the Roadhouse.
Although this week, some interesting things did happen in the Roadhouse and there were...changes.
Maybe if there was a battle scene or two, it would seem longer.

James and Freddie didn't work for that, eh?
GoT doesn't appeal to me at all. Not a big fan of Thud and Blunder, so an hour of that would seem like a year to me.
Sound like so many of us have the same feeling. I keep wanting the episodes to last more than an hour sometimes but then that damn Roadhouse shows up before the hour is up.

I think it's...fine. My geekery runs deep. But it's just a TV show. TP is NOT 'just a TV show".

I got to watch the 1st season when it was new, it was okay in my mind. Not had much access to HBO for the last several years, but did get it for a month or so this Spring. Funny, had no desire to watch it then. Not been a huge fan of HBO series since they canceled Carnivale.

I'd rather stick needles in my eyes than watch a show with swords and dragons.
I'd make an exception for Terry Pratchett, should more of his stuff ever make it to TV/Movies, because he was so damn good and funny.
What's funny to me is that so many people parse GoT so closely (there is a weekly lunchtime gathering to discuss it at my workplace) when it is SUCH LESS FERTILE GROUND for that kind of deep dive than is TP!
Hi Caoimhín,
Uh-oh!! I feel another barrage of Beatles tunes coming (...no time to say Hello, Goodbye...).
Hela, heba helloa! 😉
