Around the dinner table, the conversation was lively. Thank you but for now, the forum has been archived.
For some reason my phone isn't allowing me to copy over text from Reddit, but this is a pretty interesting theory on who called Mr. C posing as Jeffries in episode 2.
Interesting for sure. I'm not sure if the theory is debunked or strengthened by the fact that Sarah is possibly inhabited by Jumping Man, as shown in ep15. (Or perhaps Jumping Man is just a clue that Sarah is inhabited by a Black Lodger, but not necessarily Jumper.)
The poster on Reddit seems to believe Sarah is inhabited by Mother. The poster draws attention to 'I missed you in New York,' which feels very relevant and definitely would apply to Mother.
The plot thickens :->
Out of all the Twin Peaks characters, he sounds the most like Albert.

100% this.

I d easily buy that, comparing to the sarah theory. Sounded nothing like Sarah Palmer. I mean it could be sarah but not because the voice sounds like her.
I don't have such a discerning ear and I'm not familiar with American accents, but the Sarah possibility just Windom-Earled my brain. Albert... I can't really see him having such a role. A big role yes (maybe a blaze of glory... sigh) but not such a gimmick requiring more explanations.
The problem with all this is that the human mind partially hears what it expects to hear. Once you have a theory, or are told about a theory from someone else, that clouds your perception. It's like when you hear reversed recordings, at first you can't make out any words, but once someone tells you what you're supposed to hear, you hear it. So now that you've told me that the Jeffries voices sounds like Sarah Palmer, I might hear the similarity more than I would if you hadn't told me that.
I think it's possible. Maybe this thing on the table is kind of phone? Why it is covered?

Looks like a toiletries bag or maybe a hot water bottle to me. I think the pink part is just the top of the bag that you unzip, but I could be completely off.
To me, the voice on the phone with Cooper sounds more like it could be the voice of MIKE (the deep voice when he speaks through Philip Gerard in old TP). He's been "with" BOB, not in the 'being posessed' sense, but they were partners.
The voice is similar, but the idea that Sarah has some relations with Mr. C, New York, Phillip Jeffries etc. has no sense for me.
For me she is some deeply unhappy depressed women who lives for many many years in the darkness.
Perhaps the camera man who appears in the mirror is not just a homage to Frank Silva, but there is someone monitoring Sarah Palmer, just like the glass box in New York.

I would say there's probably more going on with Sarah Palmer...
I listened to it, but it sounds more like Albert to me - I'm rubbish at describing accents, but something about the quick way his words cut off... the opposite of a drawl?

Well, that would be enough of a shock that I can't rule it out.
