And what if Mr C, Richard or one of their minions go to Twin Peaks and kills Norma or Ed? That would be tragic as well.

Oh crap. You had to say it. That "happy ending", with 3 hours left, and Ed a OG bookhouse boy? Ohhh....

It was the first thing that crossed my mind during the Ed / Norma scene, because it seemed too good to be true. Nadine setting him free, Norma giving up the prospect of riches to be with Ed....it felt like a dream/fantasy.

Diane. I love Diane. I refuse to believe she's in cahoots with Mr.C.

Unfortunately, I have a bad feeling about Diane.

diane looks remorsefully guilty. i think she knows everything about mr.c and that he is blackmaling her (perhaps keeping their daughter LINDA locked somewhere or knowing where she is). She will eventually break her silence and do the right thing, I doubt Diane is going down in history as a bad lady but she might be a tragic figure who dies or sacrifices herself.

I don't think she will either, in the end. But that doesn't mean to say that something bad might not happen to her.

I think her soul is going to end up trapped inside a micro cassette recorder (or perhaps a digital version).

That worries me a lot. That the story might come full circle. Is it the past or is it the future? U think the characters will tie up to their original version in the end?

I wouldn't rule out the possibility.

I'm going to also throw Gordon Cole into the pool. Without his and Albert's chemistry this season, there'd be a lot missing from the Return. I'm not as invested in him as I am with Hawk and Albert, but it would be pretty heartbreaking to see him die.

Oh deary me... I opened the last post from the list and had forgotten where the rest of his thread was taking us. I read this as "I'd like to chuck Gordon in the swimming pool". You know, in some kind of after-season celebration party. ?

I wonder what we would all like to do with the surviving characters...?

Ha! Why Take'em out for coffee and cherry pie of course. Though tagging along with them all on a trip to the Roadhouse would do as well, I think.

I think that's bad feeling spread by Tammy...

Not a big Tammy fan. Would much rather she got the chop than Diane.

Others I really hope don't bite the dust: Albert (he just can't, not after the Log Lady), Bobby (now I've got to like him), Hawk, either of the Trumans, Big Ed.

Funnily enough, I'll be sorry to see Mr.C go, if he does. He's such a great character.

I do not get some people's hate for Tammy.

I don't hate her. In fact she's grown on me. A bit.

A bit too goody-two-shoes maybe?

I didn't really go for her flagrant posing either but it was turned into something funny in the trio/smoking scene and has since subsided. I did wonder whether some of my not taking to Tammy was because Chrysta Bell had some acting limitations but I'm not at all sure that that's fair. In any case, Lynch has an uncanny ability to turn even actor's limitations to good effect.

But sorry, I'm still sticking with Diane. I'd never dare chuck her in the pool, though.

To paraphrase part of the Hulk story, we have never actually seen Diane angry. You wouldn't want to see her when she's angry. 🙂
