Around the dinner table, the conversation was lively. Thank you but for now, the forum has been archived.
There's many a slip, twixt cup an' lip.
They ain't married yet. In fact, all they managed to do was have a quick clinch in the RR.
Big Ed may yet get run over as he leaves, or something. This is Twin Peaks, after all.
I don't know who else but I believe Big Ed is a dreamer. All happy and tears of joy part of RR Diner scenes are Big Ed's dream, I think.
Don't call me a pessimist please, I just don't made it up, RR Diner scenes gave this feeling to me. After Ed ordered a cup of coffee, song lyrics comes to "can't stop now..." and fades out then ordered a cyanide tablet, on the background song continues "now" word, I felt like I was watching Ed's dream. Song starts but this time Ed closes his eyes then "in loving you" part of the song, it fades out again and Walter and Norma talks just like what Ed wants to hear while "you" word continues on the background. Walter leaves while Ed is smiling and still keeping his eyes close, Norma touches him, kisses him. I feel like a happy ending dream come true!
He drives a garmonbozia colored car. I don't think his story is trajecting towards a happy ending, even given what we just observed.

Agreed. Felt way to make believe to interpret as being real. Although I guess in some reality out there in the multiverse that would be playing out in exactly that fashion.
she said she'd called him over to tell him this so she must have decided this after hearing her franchise pies in the other locations weren't organic.
For your next trip in real Twin Peaks.
Old Big Ed's Gas Farm location was in Issaquah, WA.
The new one is in North Bend, 1155 E North Bend Way, half of a mile east to Twede's Cafe :

This whole happiness thing is likely to be a setup for some tragic situation. Dammit.
she didn't 'toss him aside', as such. She just knew he was a good guy who wouldn't abandon Nadine, and consequently decided to move on with her life as best she could.
She was always waiting for him.
Aha! I have it!
Nadine is the daughter of Frog Moth Girl.
Hey, it could happen. Nadine has had moments of being completely batshit.
A friend of mine pointed out something that I thought was a great catch. Anybody else notice this?
When Nadine is walking to Big Ed's Gas Farm, there's this odd shot of the traffic driving on the wrong side of the road across from Nadine. Cars driving up from behind her on the other side of the road, i.e. driving on the left side. I can't get a screenshot of if now but rewatch and you'll see it. Makes me think of this scene as Nadine purposefully turning back fate and time so that the old lovers can be together. I wouldn't assign huge significance to it, but it makes me appreciate the depth of storytelling going on in Twin Peaks if you're inclined to look for these things.

That's a great theory and one I will consider to be fact right up until proven otherwise (or a better one comes along)
What struck me with the scene between Nadine and Ed is she was saying that she'd been selfish in keeping him even though he didn't love her but now she wasn't being selfish anymore and was letting him go. But the strong implication (to me) after last week is she's quite likes the idea of a hookup with Dr Amp... so her ditching Ed is selfish
I just remember thinking, "oh man, nothing this happy and loving happens in Twin Peaks without a major evil moment to come"
I would like to think it's real and it's love and it's forever. Fingers crossed!

Good catch !
Maybe the camera filming the scene was on a truck, driving in part on the highway, and so other vehicles from real trafic have to change lane.
